Full or partial tear makes ZERO difference!!!

Regardless of the tear it is fully detached before putting back together. So its torn just enough to warrant surgery or fully, both will be fully separated and reattached.

lol wut? Of course we are building around Harden he is younger. What does that have to do with Rondo?

Also don't read to much into my username. I'm a Rockets fan first and foremost, and notice I had this name before we signed Dwight. I knew he was coming to Houston.:)

Is Love even a possibility? The earliest possible acquisition point is the summer of 2015, when he will be up for a max contract. Howard + Harden + Love is $56M+ in payroll. Assuming Parsons signs for a minimum of $8M that puts the Rockets ~$64M. With cap holds and committed salary the Rockets would be paying the luxury tax. You may believe that Les will pony up the tax, but I do not.

The truth is NOBODY here knows who Morey's targeting and eventually getting. A lot of people are throwing crap against the wall to see if it sticks, but the reality is Morey usually gets players who most of us never thought of.

Very excited to see who and or what picks we're getting for Asik.

I do know one thing though, CP25, Harden, and D12 are here to stay. I think everybody else is in play.

Yeah. You pretty much nailed it. But I am confident in saying that the luxury tax is not an option and that Les would be well pleased being under the cap this season.

Rondo doesn't fit this team style or personnel. Dude can't shoot...and he's a bog-hogger. We already have one in Harden. Rondo fits team like the Knicks.

Wait Rondo can't fit with Harden, but he can fit the biggest ball hog in the NBA Melo?

    Go to bed please.

I agree. But with Asik's contract and his value, we really should see a substantial return. There aren't many players that affect the game like he does.

Not sure which direction Morey will go, especially now with Jone's emergence as a legit 4. DMo looks like the odd man out, and flat out sucks sometimes when he's out there. GSmith is pretty efficient, but disappears A LOT.

If we can package them together and get back a legitimate 4 / 5 and another perimeter player (3 and D), and a pick, we'd be legit.

The acquisition of Love will most likely come through trade if Love leaves Minny. And the opportunity could come as early as this trading deadline. I think Flip is going to know whether Love is committed to staying and will trade him rather than let him walk. We all know Love is going to opt out after next season to get his money. So if Love has not committed to the organization and/or expresses discontent going into this trade deadline then Flip could decide to pull the trigger at the deadline or after this year rather than run the situation into next season and risk going to the deadline and have to sell low on Love.
I still believe there is no better player in the NBA other than Lebron for this team than Love. This is why I believe Morey is attempting to acquire as many draft picks and young talent as possible for Asik and why I believe Morey has already agreed to a deal for Lin and he is trying to synergize the two trades somehow.

Don't be surprised if Jeremy Lin is traded on Dec. 19th.

Melo is a different type of ball hog.

Harden operates off the dribble from the perimeter and drives into the paint.
Melo operates off the post and as a perimeter/outside jump shooter with occasional drives.

Melo doesn't play the point forward role, nor does he want to play the point forward role. And the few times the Knicks have had him play the point forward, he's done poorly.

Harden is basically a combo guard that plays primarily in the point guard role.

In offensive sets, the PG controls the ball with Melo on the court. With Harden it usually just gets dumped to Harden who works starting at the perimeter, does his dribbles, then either drives or does a jump shot.

They're both ball dominant, but in very different ways.

So, yes. Rondo + Melo is a *much* better fit than Rondo + Harden.
