That's what happens when you base your opinions strictly on box scores. The Rockets obviously needed to keep their foot on the pedal in this game, considering the explosiveness of the Warriors offense. I think McHale managed the players' minutes very effectively, especially given that a couple of key Rockets were out due to injury.

I dunno.... sometimes you can play excellent D and your opponent still manages to make baskets. Last night GS just wasn't hitting their shots

I think last night was more than just GS not hitting their shots.

They weren't shooting well, but they also shot a lot of contested shots, got blocked a bunch, and gave up a ton of turn overs.

    IE, it was both.

The Warriors simply can't maintain the insane shooting they've had in the early going.

    Iguodala 48%, career 33%
    Thompson 46%, career 41%
Barnes 44%, shot 35% last year and at UNC

Curry may be the greatest shooter ever, but as a team they won't shoot 43%, neither will Portland for that matter.

were they left wide open and run freely or were they being contested and closed out?

Rox did a great job. Parsons help set the tone early and maintain it. Not the best player on the team by any means, but most valuable.

    Keys to the game.

    Focus
    Defense
    Ball Movement
    Leadership
    Chemistry
    Motivation
    Energy

    MVP of the game:
    Harden and Howard

Both players were very active on both sides of the court.

Glad see Parson back out there, his energy was very key as well

You still have to shot the three a lot to win in the playoffs. Morey's formula doesn't just work in the regular season. If all you do is shoot three's that's one thing but when you can combine it with an inside game I think your ok, now matter what Barkley says.

Warriors' tv guys, halfway through through the 2nd:

    "Wait, Houston is 13-7?"

"There is zero atmosphere in this building."

"Well thats not unsual, we've seen that for years."

    The truth hurts.

I am not being sarcastic. How can a person tell if it was good defense or an off night? I can't do it.

If you're beloved Lin had played it would have great defense but you LOF's have to tear down any win without lin to make him look good. And you wonder why mainstream fans dislike LOF's so much?. It's because of how petty you folks are.

Your paranoid thinking is in high gear on this one. I have learned that if two independent variables (Good Defense and Poor playing) can cause poor points produced than one cannot tell which was a the causitive agent or which caused more of the low point production. Straight out of experimental procedures 1. That's why we try to control all independent variables or take random samples. All the medicinal drugs you take must past this test as well as all medical tests and procedures. All scientific peer reviewed articles use the same procedure. I was trying to impart some rigor to the very undiscipline thinking that some GARM posters engage in. Torocan is a good example of logica and disciplined thinking that follows an empirical approach. You shoul use his methods as a guideline,as you relie on explaining others behavior by using fantasy and the projection of your own feelingPlease don't lay your anger and bias on me. If you are unhappy take this anger out in another forum.

I think we have found a future star or close to it. Rockets would be idiots to trade him. He is young and talented.
