    Me neither.
Anyway, it was Stoudemire, Hardaway Jr. and a 1st round pick(if they have one) for Omer, Jeremy and D-Mo.

    Stoudemire is not needed.

Shumpert, Hardaway Jr, some other contract 1st for Omer, Garcia, Greg Smith

Maybe it is Jeff Green then. Whoever it is, I have a feeling Terrence Jones has firmly entrenched himself in the starting lineup, so the new guy will probably be a bench scorer along the lines of Brooks. Maybe we can get our perimeter defensive stopper at the same time in the process, a la Courtney Lee. Brewer is looking done, unfortunately. I don't see any of the lateral quickness he used to have when he torched us as starting SG on the Jazz.

Also, you know what this Jeremy-Lin-off-the-bench thing has done for me now?

I'm not half as opposed to Rajon Rondo as I used to be! We don't have to trade Lin in theory, so we would still have his scoring off the bench. And right now Patrick Beverley is playing like a crappy Rondo. Good to great defense, minimal court vision, and somehow he's regressed to the mean on his threes. It appears that last year was the abberation.

You get Rondo in here, you still don't have a good outside shooter, but all of a sudden the ball movement goes up exponentially, the defense actually improves also. It's not like we've had difficulty scoring.

I know a lot of people here want to trade Lin and keep Brooks in his spot, but I still feel Brooks is a complete defensive liability where Jeremy's D is much underrated. Lin is truly a 6th man of the year candidate in his current role, and I don't want him going anywhere because we need that. He can shoot now too. He fixed the one biggest flaw in his game in the offseason, and that's a great sign (the #2 biggest flaw in his game, the TO's, unfortunately will probably stick with him his whole career).

The only players we could trade Asik is - 1st and 2nd round picks, Kris Humphries (Celtics), Shawn Marion (Mavericks), Andris Biedrins (Jazz), Richard Jefferson (Jazz). I just don'tsee we trade Asik for real help to our roster this year, we will trade him for expriing big contract + 1 round pick I guess. I'd love to trade with any of these teams, cause I think all off them are lotery teams this year. Take that 1st rounder!

    For example:

    Boston trades Humphruies to Mavericks
Boston trades 1st rounder to Rockets
    Rockets trades Motiejunas to Mavericks
    Rockets trades Asik to Celtics
    Mavericks trades Marion to Rockets

Green/Lee for Asik would be a great deal.

    Imagine our bench depth.

    Lin
    Lee
    Garcia
    Green
    Smith

If Smith doesn't work at center we can trade one of our pg's for a backup center.

I'm with you on all of this, rondo starting Lin as 6th man would be perfect. But no way that happens. Bradley/onlyx for ascans old do the trick. But if we keep Lin as 6th man I see morey getting a pass first vet PG for playoffs.

How do you think you are going to get Rondo without giving up Lin?

Asik + Lin + Dmo + filler is the absolute minimum it's going to take to get Rondo. Quite possibly more. Rondo is a franchise piece. He gives you the big three you want on any team.

Also, I don't think Lin re-signs here, so from now till the trade deadline is the time to get best value for him. He's accepted the 6th man role because he has no choice, but you can bet some other team is going to pay more for him and offer him a starting job and I'm guessing he'll bite.

Asik + one of D.Mo , Canaan , Brewer or Greg Smith for Humphries , Olynyk and one of their two first round picks.

Humphries gives you a big expiring to move at the deadline if needed.

Morey has asked for 2#1's - Olynyk and one of those picks fits the bill and gives you a replacement for Asik.

Boston dumps some salary while getting their defensive anchor making them a likely playoff team when Rondo returns.

I don't want rondo . He can't shot 3 and it can damage the offense . PG position is ok with lin beverly and brooks .

I don't see Celtics as a lottery team, especially if they acquire Asik from us. They have a really good shot to make the playoff this year.

We don't need his freaking shooting!

We have enough shooters on this team, Rondo would be here to run the offense and make scoring a whole lot easier for Dwight/Harden.

My goodness people Rondo is a top 5 pg in the NBA, he can't shoot what a freaking big deal! What about his passing/rebounding/defense?

There is more to basketball than just scoring/shooting.

Only Harden and Parsons would be left in the starting unit as players that could be described as shooters if we got Rondo.

Casspi/Brooks/Garcia/Parsons/Harden is more than enough shooters.

How many of them can be on the floor at the same time?

2 shooters will NOT space the floor. It will be a log jam in the middle.

The Rockets offense seems to flow best when you got one guy in the middle surrounded by 4 shooters. Lately, 3 shooters + Jones has worked pretty well.

LOL. Rondo would damage the offense? He would make it 100 times better.

He and Paul are the best passing PGs in the game, period.

We would score 130 points a game with all our shooters, Dwight and Rondo.

    I agree 100%.

People saying Rondo wouldn't fit because he can't shoot is false.

1st Rondo doesn't shoot a lot of shots.

2nd Rondo is the best passer in the NBA, imagine what he could do with weapons like Harden/Dwight/Chandler.

3rd Rondo is a top 5 pg in the NBA. Think about that for a minute.

I have a feeling Rondo is Morey top target, I wouldn't be surprised if he offers a legit offer come Dec.15.

    Asik/Lin/Jones/1rd for Rondo/Lee/Olyknx

That would make us the top team in the West.
