This happens every draft, tear down a guy so your client will move up or tear down a guy and hope he falls into your lap. Or maybe it's simply pointing out something obvious, that Clowney is not dominating lesser talent the way he is suppose to, and that teams are worried how he will perform once he puts his name on a contract and becomes an instant millionaire.

I would absolutely love this move. Like this would be a terrific decision. But as Max said is he ready to leave UCLA? The article below says he wants to enter, but people are trying to convince him otherwise.

I hope he enters, he has better size and skills than bridgewater and better numbers in a better conference. He's the real deal, I can't understand. Even if Mariita stayed in the draft I think Hundley would be the best an prospect. Especially if we end up with Hue Jackson as OC

Thinking that this is more likely...these rumors suddenly gained steam as the Texans look like the clear favorites for the #1 pick. There is no question we need a QB, but imo Bridgewater kinda reminds me of Josh Freeman. Of the top 10 teams for the 2014 draft, only two desperately need a QB as their #1 priority: The Jags and the Vikings. The Texans have issues all across the board, but their biggest issue was coaching and they addressed it yesterday. We should be looking to get the best player overall with the best pick. I would be ok with trading down if it nets us more picks in this draft, but there is no way we should pass up on one of the best DE prospect in years(he has gotten Julius Peppers' hype) if we have no buyers. If there is a character issue, a team will find out via interviews. Here is some SC fans who are chiming in:

Just watched some Bridewater tape, and here's some thoughts:

-His pocket awareness is special. He manages to consistently avoid pressure, and although it seem like he's just scrambling in the backfield, his eyes are always downfield. Whenever he has a slight opening, he takes advantage of a quick release and hurls the ball downfield.

-He's extremely accurate. In short/medium routes, he somehow almost always manages to perfectly place the ball between multiple defenders for an incredible pass right in his receiver's hands.

-I didn't get to watch that many deep throws, but it seems like he has a ton of trust in his receivers and always gives them a chance to make a play on the ball. He also is very good at hitting his "go" receivers in stride, allowing them to maintain their speed and run for touchdown.

-Even though he doesn't run often, he certainly has no issues when he does decided to. He always keeps his eyes downfield, so he'll hang onto the ball as long as he has an opportunity to complete a pass. But as soon as things completely breakdown, he will scramble, and he does a damn good job of doing it.

This stuff started coming out at the beginning of the season. He looks like he gets gassed a. It easy. But I don't think it's lack of effort necessarily, like stated above he's seen what happened to lattimore and he knows how good he is, he has nothing to prove so he's trying avoid getting a stupid injury before he gets paid. I don't exactly agree with him but I can't blame him either.

Bridgewater is a great qb, best in the draft. I'd be happy of we got him. But I also just think clowney and watt would be insane. Trading down sounds nice too.

If Shane Skov is still available in the 3rd though, we better get him. He's like a mini Cush, plays the pass well.

I feel like we owe it Andre Johnson to trade him to a team that could actually win a championship soon. If we did that, what value could we get for him?

The backloading of AJ's contract has made him untradeable and a cap killer for the Texans. If he was tradeable I think we could get a 3rd since he only may have a few seasons left and will likely start fading soon.

What a weird comparison. Bridgewater and Freeman are nothing alike physically. Freeman was criticized for his lack of accuracy and reading ability, whereas those qualities are strengths of Bridgewater. Coming out of college, Freeman's leadership was questioned, while Bridgewater is uniformly praised for this. What exactly do you see in Bridgewater that reminds you of Freeman?

Why is everyone so infatuated with Bridgewater just espn says he's good. The guy has a skill set identical to Tebow

lol. No. Tebow was horribly inaccurate and a running QB. Bridgewater is very accurate and rarely runs. He can run but only to buy more time to make throws.

Tebow in 2009 had 217 rushing attempts. Bridgewater 2013 has 52 rushing attempts

    I never mentioned bridgwater...!!!!!:confused::confused:
you keep mentioning Hue Jackson on every thread and that **** is getting annoying because he will not be here, the guy is a RB coach for god's sake what makes you think that Bob would even consider him.

Bridgewater is the flavor of the month... I highly doubt that many of you praising Bridgewater as the undeniable #1 choice even knew who he was a few months ago.. Some, but not many. You guys become enamored with someone so quickly with little to base your opinion on.

If the Texans go QB in the 1st round, which I don't believe they should, it's gotta be Manziel.
