They are most likely going to explore trading Monroe but we won't get him because he is demanding a max contract at the end of the year. Josh smith just signed and is playing fine and morey won't want that contract
Yes he did and IMO it was a huge mistake not to do a sign and trade for Asik for Smith. Everyone was complaining about his poor shooting blah blah blah well guess what we didn't and still don't need scoring we need defense. Which Smith has in spades and since we continue with this run and gun offense Smith would have fit it perfectly.
Smith is crazy as hell offensively... But I'm with you on the defensive end... He can guard any position and he's one of the top perimeter defenders in the game. I would have been perfectly fine if we only went after him this past off-season and kept Asik as a starter.

The Heat are also getting killed on the boards. I know it won't happen---why would Miami mess with chemistry?---but an excellent fit (re-visited impossible trade idea) would be Lin / Asik / Dmo? (whatever) for Bosh. Granted, they just want to grab a second-line guard (a Shumpert type) to alleviate Wade's absences. They want to know what time it is and I'm saying, Well, rebuild the watch.
