It dosent make hi the better player. Harden is one of only 7 or 8 players in the league who has the the talent to build a team around. We are lucky we have two of them on our team. Parsons or certainly not Lin are anywhere near that level.

In all seriousness, a lot of us are just pissed off at his effort. If he is going to have a permanent green light and iso more than any pg in history, he should at least pretend to try on defense.

just because we think he has room to improve, does not mean we are LOFs. And no. Harden is not a great playmaker. His assist/turn over ratio is probably the worst of any point guard in recent memory.

    No idea. Nate archibald?

Lin would be good for that though if given the opportunity.

Actually archibald got 34 and 11. So I will revise my Lin estimate to 30 and 12.

I think his turn overs are a bit exagerrated. It's that one boneheaded jump-and-fumble thing he pulls every other game which really stand out make you scratch your head. Also a tendency to go for that homerun pass a bit too much. Not like last year though.

Harden is a very, very good playmaker. He runs the pick and roll better then anyone not named Paul or Parker. He makes some of the best outlet passes in the league. Off the dribble he can creat shots in tight spaces and exploits gaps through the defense. The guy might be flawed on offense, but it's a given fact that he is one of the best if not the best playmaking 2 guard in the league.

Yeah but he is the point guard on our team and so should be compared to other point guards. That's why Bev is starting. So there is no doubt about who handles the ball. And compared to other point guards, he is a poor at making his teammates better. I happen to think that Lin should handle the ball more and Harden should learn to play off the ball better.

Who said Lin should be franchise player? You really think harden can by himself? I am saying that Lin and Howard and Parsons need to be themselves and play their style but together in a system designed to max their potential. Harden has an offense geared specifically for him. You see the difficulty that occurs when that offense is modified for howard? The rockets need everyone to win a ship but the current system doesn't work.

Lin+Parsons+Dwight alone will also not win a chip, West is too good.

I'll take Paul George or Melo over Harden any day! Paul George is the most complete star and Melo has a more developed, controlled offensive game (he sucks on D but at least he tries unlike Harden)

A lot of people on this board think in cliches. There is only one "the man" or "closer" on a team. All others are "role players" who are subservient to the "the man" and should be discouraged from dribbling or practicing mid range shots.

Michael Jordan is responsible for this.

As frustrating as it is watching Lin drive the lane and turn the ball over he gets to the line 5 times a game as a backup point guard. You shouldn't be too upset if he turns the ball over while being aggressive. It's the careless turnovers that u have to watch for. Beverly does bot drive the lane much so he is not going go turn the ball over. Brooks won't turn the ball over ifhe falls in love with his jumper but he will make turnovers if he takes to basket. If u don't want Lin go make turnovers then have Lin stand out at the arc and shoot threes. Oh wait that's what McHale wants to do when he and garden are on the court together.

You must be kidding, Harden has probably made the MOST ENTERY PASSES TO DWIGHT AND THE MOST ASSISTS WITH DWIGHT OUT OF ANY OF THE CURRENT PLAYERS. seriously, start watching some games. Harden has gone out of his way to find Dwight off the pick and roll of the post entery passes.

there were a few good defensive plays by harden in the jazz game.

harden's active and quick enough to come up with steals in the passing lanes. and he is so lethal on offense (slump or not) to create shots for others or hit open shots that he needs to be on the floor.

this league won't allow james harden to stay on the floor if he gets more physical defensively - refs fear the beard - he'd foul out in a heartbeat. hopefully he continues to work on his D.

i'm fine with how the rockets are using him. i see them leveraging the best of his game.

Also Parsons most efficient and better games this season have been with James in the lineup.

No Jordan if he had confidence in u will pass the ball to you. Paxson Kerr made big shots to win championships from Jordan assists. Kerr said that Jordan wouldnt pass him the ball because in practice because he was missing shots in practice. When he started making shots in practice Jordan would pass the ball to him in games.

Jordan used to punch his teammates in the face or throw the ball in their faces.
