Not a fan of Bridgewater...he's a twig. Seth Payne has been getting to me...he talks about Bridgewater breaking in half almost on a daily basis. If a former defensive lineman who's chased after QBs his whole career cant stop talking about how Bridgewater is too skinny to be a franchise QB, then I tend to put some faith into that.
I assume you mean this as comparing Teddy to a Phillip Rivers type prospect. For this team specifically, no way. If we had a roster like KC who just needed a QB, then probably.
I'd rather draft Derek Carr with our first pick this year and hold on to our #1 pick year. In other words, no, Rivers is not worth that much.
Probably a bad example. But if you are willing to trade 2 #1s for a Philip Rivers, then Teddy Bridgewater is not worthy of the #1 pick. Would you trade a #1 for Kirk Cousins? Bridgewater would be a terrible misuse of that #1 pick. He will be a bust. A bad gamble. Go elsewhere.
Ideal situation would be to trade down and grab a bunch of picks. Ive never understood the hype for Bridgewater...he just doesnt get my body ready.
I'm all for trading down. Pick up an extra pick. Then try and pry Cousins away from the 'skins for a 2nd rounder.
your credibility is completely shot. 2 1st rounders for rivers. a 2nd rounder to try and pry cousins from wash please do not speak of teddy bridgewater. you are not worthy.
Can't...in my hypothetical Philip Rivers was never available. I was picking a middle of the pack QB to compare to the over hyped potential of Bridgewater.
oops, i stand corrected.. you are now offering a 1st rounder for cousins. Lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
It sounds like you've only been exposed to Clowney via ESPN, and your contesting their valuation because you've only watched him play after seeing a certain highlight not that long ago. Me being big on Clowney has nothing to do with ESPN & everything to do with watching him play over the last 4 years. This season has been hampered by nagging injuries, and team committing 2-3 blockers to him on every down. Most of the people who'd seen him play as a true freshman & sophomore know what he's truly capable of. Despite the less appealing boxscores this season, in 3yrs he's produced as many sacks & tackles for loss as Ndamukong Suh did in 4yrs, and caused more turnovers. This has nothing to do with parroting talking heads on TV. He's far & away the best prospect in the draft. He just isn't a QB, so he might not go #1.
I never said Rivers was available. I was comparing Bridgewater expected potential to an already established veteran and I was gauging whether those who are pro Bridgewater would pull the trigger on a top 12 QB as opposed to going with Teddy. Teddy is f**king terrible. He's gonna be worse than jamarcus Russel.
