The early trade idea I had (maybe in the summer) was to Atlanta. Although I hesitate to add Tjones now, I'd amend the whole thing:

    Asik
Terrence Jones (I'd prefer Dmo, but what can you do?)
    Isaiah Canaan

    for

Millsap (more consistent than Tjones at this point in his career)
Dennis Schroeder (Rockets were hot for him at the draft)
Lucas Nogueira (draft rights; we need a center, yo)

Don't think Atlanta will give up on Schroeder that quickly. Asik for Millsap and Nogueira seems fair. That would give us a Llull, Papanikolaou, and Nogueira as quality overseas stashes to pull from when we have a need.

Would love to have Drummond, but I don't think there is a way to get him.

People, get your minds right. No matter how bad you think Howard is doing, he is still a better center than Asik.

Ainge owes mchale for the KG trade a favor for a favor and morey also has ties to that's why I think we send Lin to Boston he and Stevens are smart stat guys Lin went to Harvard the fans will love his style of play in the eastern conference and rondo would just come to houston put up double doubles and play excellent defense and all will be well for both teams

Change out Bass for Bogans or add a little more salary and put KHump in the deal instead of Bass.

Here's my deal I proposed for Rondo during the summer:

Waive Brooks and let Boston (or whoever) pick him up. Boston waives Pressey. Asik/Lin/DMo/Brewer/Smith for Rondo/KHump/Bogans.

You are just obsessed with the Rockets getting rid of Brooks ASAP aren't you ;)

No reason to waive Brooks in this or many other cases especially when in this deal the Rockets would have 2 open roster spots anyways. The guy has really been a life saver this year with the Lin injury. If he's totally fine being injury insurance I dont know why fans of the Rockets wouldn't be ok with it.

-And no he's not holding back Canaan yet. McHale would probably rather play the other PG 48 minutes than play Canaan right now. He's still got a ways to go especially on the defensive end. Been watching RGV games, and I'm not high on his shot selection just yet, and often has tendencies on defense to ball-watch.

(also AB has actually looked improved at that end this year. Really putting alot of effort in despite his physical deficiencies)

AB has been a real pleasant surprise this year that even you couldn't make a valid case against even though you will probably try to argue that you weren't wrong to think they should have cut him.

Brooks would have to be waived and picked up by someone else for the trades to work under the luxury tax threshold. I said waive Brooks because he would likely be picked up and because we would be trading for a point guard. You could waive (or trade) Casspi in place of Brooks to make the deals work but that would leave you with 4 point guards and short a wing. Hence Brooks is the guy that would get waived (and picked up since he would have to approve being traded).
