i've always enjoyed it a great deal. But something happened this year, and it's been very quiet since the first week. Maybe ItsMyFault's stream has replaced it. I'd go there just for the chat, but I don't need the stream, so wouldn't want to hog a spot that others rely upon.

Even when it is full, it's not much more than 50 ppl. And if you get an IRC client like mIRC, the ignore feature works great.

Because a lot of people can't even watch the game. And those of us that use Ballstreams just chat on Ballstreams chat room since we wouldn't be chat delayed compared to CSN.

This makes a lot of sense. Streams that have their own chat guarantees everyone is in sync. That's the one drawback of CF Chat is people are not in synch with the game because people are watching different sources. LP Broadband is about 45-120 seconds behind LP Television feeds.

I know this is a long shot, but I figure i'd ask anyway. Is there software or something that can slow down/pause a "streaming" or "live updating" program so you can sync stuff?

For example, I love watching big games with my twitter feed running, but my streams are always about 30 seconds behind. Its tolerable for the first three quarters, but people end up practically calling a play-by-play during the last critical moments. Of course, this ruins the suspense, so I am forced to close the feed.

I have no experience with programming, but I'd imagine the core feature of the software would be able to cache whatever data is being streamed and deliver it according to your wishes. Does this seem unreasonable?

    No.

Dude. WTH. If you're having to get on the chat while AT THE GAME, I might have to join you for game-time cheer one of these days... who are you going with that it gets so boring, Ben Stein? :p

Sad to say, but twitter totally killed the game chat for me. The ClutchFans and #RedNation contingents are strong and well represented and never fail to be lively during games.

    AstroRocket,

by "killed" do you mean replaced. Do you mean I should get on the Twitter now for the lively chat? hmmm, sounds tempting now that you mention it, since Clutch is probably chatting in game there, too.

but are there turf wars there during the game with stuff like this

LOLOL people on clutchfans, or should i say clutchfags are mad at me cause i gave the pw to the rockets site to watch the games. smh
— Alfred Matthews \|n/ (@RowdyAJ713) December 5, 2013

Yeah, totally replaced chat for me. Clutch tweets ALOT during games with updates and the like along with everyone else. Following NBA fans and Media and chatting with them (or "Basketball twitter" as its called) is definitely the most fun of all the major sports. I have a decent list of #RedNation fans that talk a lot about the Rockets and also NBA media on my profile (can use the link in my sig to get to it).

That guy's actually pretty cool. Good Red Rowdy and tweeter. Just got caught up in some dumb bs here and really shouldn't have vented his frustrations like that.

For the most part there really no "turf wars" at all. Most everybody posts on Clutchfans anyway.

you mean I have to turn on "show signatures" now, too, to get on the Twitter.

I'm actually in Houston until Xmas. So likely will not be on chat for awhile. Either watching at a bar or at the home games

Yeah, I miss the days of the hopping IRC game day chats.

That and the #houstonrockets chatroom (the original hashtags are IRC rooms). The good old days of OOTP, trash talk, and NIMF / FATIMF turf wars.
