That guy. The prison has multiple buildings. Maybe some take damage but there's probably still plenty of space for them to live. But the guy uses his tank to run right through the fences. Those fences are the biggest selling point of the prison. Now there's nothing to keep the zombies from breaching the perimeter. The moment they mowed down those fences, the prison immediately became a much less attractive place to live and they're fighting just to fight at that point.

Yeah, maybe that was the Governor's intention all along. But you'd think that at least one of his followers, who were convinced to do this 1)because they needed a secure place to live and 2) this could be accomplished without bloodshed, would suddenly realized that they just destroyed the security of the place they were trying to move into and are now trying to murder people for pretty much no reason now that the prison is no longer a secure location.

That's the biggest issue with them stretching out the true prison battle. It would have been more believable if it'd been The Govena and his long term cronies who had no problem with murder.

This new group barely knew him but followed him blindly into a battle with a group they had no beef with.

It was nice to get a version of the battle but they shouldn't have drawn it out over a season and half.

It actually makes sense to me when you consider the makeup of the new group that was under the governor.

They were a bunch of hicks and they were just keepin' it real.

    I'll throw in these:

-Why is Tara, one of the newest people in the camp, suddenly the person who swings The Governor's camp to a decision? This is the 2nd episode where she's the most outspoken or shown to be the one convincing the others to follow a plan. Not to mention she then she runs off from the fight as soon as it starts. Whoops.

-Zombies follow in the Governor's "army". Attack Darrel, the furthest person from the holes in the gates first. How are Rick/The Governor and the rest of the "army" not the first people they go after?

Considering how much variation from the comic the series has had to this point, I think they did a great adaptation to probably the biggest turning point in the series.

Gonna touch on some things in relation to the comic...no spoilers or speculation for the future I promise.

First off, for all the Lori hate...keeping her around long enough to see the same end she had in the comic (this episode) would have been completely worth it. I think a lot more people would be rejoicing right now instead of all the negativity.

Also, in regards to the comic adaptation Herschel's demise carried a lot more weight this way. Glad he saw a more ceremonious end than T Dog or Dale. Merle's was a little too predictable for my liking...

They rushed a lot into one episode...wish they would start making these mid season finales extended episodes...another half hour at least. But overall, I thought this was great.

So now we start taking bets on how close they stay to the comic??

Carl is the most annoying kid I have ever seen in any TV show. Seems like every kid in this show gets killed sooner or later, except for him... ;(

Nah, he's getting better. However, that new girl that got sick and was mentored by Carol takes the cake this season. Plus, she can't act. Cringe-worthy.

Just like Buffy, the best way to watch TWD is by not expecting it to make any sense. Ever.

I've never seen anyone take a dump, are they constipated?
I've never seen them eat dinner, why aren't they starving?
I've never seen them change the oil in the car, did all the Jiffy Lubes disappear?
    ad infinitum

Some of you might want to avoid watching cartoons or your head might explode.

How did he survive that anvil dropping on him? It would have crushed him!
Where would a coyote find an Acme store in the desert anyway?

Details are one of those things that highlight great writing. The audience can fill in the blanks, but that only goes so far. When you have a series, for example Lost, that ramble on and on and on and try to capitalize on the early successes, it gets ran into the ground with wild tangents and loose ends and plot holes that do not make any sense.

The Walking Dead is not about zombies. Its about the conflict and fighting between the last few survivors.

It seems clear to me that they will more or less wander the second half of this season, but the season will end in Alexandria where all of next season will take place.

Really despite deviation from how things happened, they aren't too far removed from the comic. In the comic Andrea is alive, and Tyreese is dead but that's really it. After next season though, they should be really close to passing the comic by, so they might have to start generating original content.

The producers love to keep actors off screen, and have been doing it since season two. I assume it's to save money, so I think your prediction is spot on. Maybe not a full eight episodes, but for at least a couple.

I was sad to see Herschel go...was one of tolerable characters on the show.

I'm interested to see where this show will go next.

Well it was confirmed a couple of episodes ago on Talking Dead that Abraham, Rosita and Eugene will be on this season of the walking dead. So, I guess I have an idea where the second half of this season is heading.

Calling it hear first...... Tyrese and the girls find Carol, she takes care of them and Tyerese begins a relationship with Carol. Just like in the comics.

Anywhere to watch full episode of the mid season finale's Talking Dead?

I only saw a little of it, but it was interesting. You could easily tell scott wilson (hershel) was deeply upset about getting cut off the show.

So should we be thanking you for the spoiler? And if that's how it happened in the comic then you really didn't call it here first.
