Bev is have Dragic so shook, Gogi might retire from basketball after Bev gets through with him!

    Book it
Dragic Scores like than 12pts with less than 35% from the field.

Bledsoe less than 14 and less than 40%.

    Let's go Bev!
    Let's go Rox!

Man, what are you smoking. Bev is just a bench player that just happens to fit with harden. Amazing how overrated Bev is becoming.

All rough game for the Rox. But Bev was the one bright spot.

4-10 FG 12pts with 2 assists and 8 boards and two steals!

And he only commited one turnover the whole game. That's the only turnover in the last three games that Bev has committed. Like Bull said that's what you NEED from your starting point guard. Bev is getting his on. The offensive end, taking care of the ball and locking down the opposing PGs.

Held Dragic and Bledsoe in check for most of the late time some late questionable fouls.

Dragic 6-11 19pts with only 4 assist! and 4 steals (two which were fouls not called)
Bledsoe 7-14 20pts with only 3 assists 2 steals but Bec made him turn it over 4 times!

Bev got some timely hooping when he got his hit that wet three when the Roxs were down 10 to cut the lead with like1:10 to go. Bev is always there at the very end of games making plays happen!

How embarrassing to bump your own thread when you looked like trash with your predictions.

The follow is the stats lines from all the PGs Bev has faced as a starter, excluding the Charlotte game where he only played a few minutes before rib injury. Held Kemba in check from what I remember before getting hurt.

    11/5 Lillard 22 pts 5 assists
    11/7 Blake 14 and 2
    11/9 CP3 14 and 13
    11/11 Lowrey 16 and 2
11/13 Woten 18 and 11 with 10 Rebs (Woten got lucky, abnormal game)
    11/14 Felton 8 and 7 (locked down!)
    11/19 Bradley 11 and 0 (that's right 0 assists!)
11/20 Ellis 37 and 8 (Bev had to guard him so he was having to guard a bigger SG. fluke)
    11/23 Rubio 8 and 7 ( Locked down!)
    11/25 Conley 10 and 10 ( Locked down!)
    11/27 Teague 6 and 4 (Locked down!)
    11/29 Taylor 16 and 12
11/30 Parker 27 and 8 (Parker was 13 for 27 and held under 50% shooting. Pat makes the game winning tip in!!)

12/2 Burks 9-18 21pts 6 assists (playing I denver homecooking and thin air fluke)
12/4 Dragic 6-11 19 only 2 Assists 4 steals (two non called fouls)

Your schtick is getting old brah. You're clearly a disgruntled LOF who's obviously still hurting over Lin's demotion so instead of posting well thought out rebuttals as to why that was the wrong decision by the coaching staff, he instead overpraises Bev's exploits in passive-aggressively.

So if I say Bev is a great defensive player and I love watching him play and that he is the right fit for the starting PG spot next to out all star ball dominant SG Harden, and that Lin is better as 6th man and then post the actual stats for the actual games to show Bev's growth as a NBAs starter over the season then....that makes me a LOF? Wow. Some of you are just looking to insult.

Just a fan of the team and of Bev brah, Sorry if the LOF-LOH war has made you bitter and suspicious and looking for stuff everywhere. I'm just here to enjoy basketball of my favorite team and one of my favorite players.

    Please do the same.

Beverley is not a legit NBA caliber starter PG, he just a high energy defence specialist.

I counted Bev. defense play by play.
    His D is really overrated.

I wouldn't say that, he is good at on ball pressure when he can get to it is the problem, this is a post from the game thread from a 2010 poster. He struggles with screens & Howard often gets caught on them this was a big problem down the stretch

    POST from game thread ***£
I'm not even that sold on Beverley being a defensive PG. I think at this point even McHale knows that Beverley cannot defend screenplays. I think Brooks actually played better defense overall than Beverley tonight.

I have to give it to Hornacek though, he really held his ace in the hole until he really needed it and didn't show his hand to give McHale time to react and bench Beverley. They barely screened Beverley through most of the game, and when they really needed it, Hornacek went to it a few times in a row to win this game:

Rockets making the comeback... (75-74 Phoenix)

6:45 Morris screens for Bledsoe on Beverley -> Jones switches, Beverley is late on the switch, Casspi helps on Morris free run to the basket, leading to wide open drive and basket by his man Tucker. (77-74 Phoenix)
6:04 Morris screens for Dragic on Beverley -> Jones switches, Morris easily shoots over Beverley in the paint after the switch. (79-74 Phoenix)
5:32 Never recovered in transition, Frye layup, not Beverley's fault. (81-74 Phoenix)
4:48 Frye screens for Dragic on Beverley -> Howard switches, Dragic fakes drive on Howard and steps back casually for the open 3. (84-74 Phoenix)
3:50 Frye screens for Dragic on Beverley again -> Howard switches again, Dragic dances around Howard and draws the foul. (Phoenix wins)

Coincidence Hornacek went screenplay after screenplay after screenplay after screenplay vs. Beverley when the game was on the line but not before? Doubt it. He was probably holding it for a crucial stretch so McHale could not adjust in time. Coincidence that McHale switches on every single one of those screenplays against Beverley? Doubt it. He didn't switch for the other guards and Beverley wasn't exactly good at guarding bigger players. McHale probably knows just as well as everybody that Beverley can't defend screenplays, but McHale is so dead set on the guy he was willing to completely change the defense to cover Beverley's defensive gaping hole (unfortunately, the remedy was worse than the disease this game).

Was Harden killing the offense on that losing stretch? Yep, and Beverley was killing the defense. Talk about irony.

They may need to start Brooks until Parsons gets back. Beverley's lack of playmaking is becoming a huge liability with Parsons out (and his defense is vastly overrated).

Unfortunately, it is the ball hogging Harden that takes the one area that Beverly needs to develop and that is running the offense.

For example since Lin when out, Howard has not scored more than 15 points in a game. The anointed next Houston star PF TJones has only scored over 11 points once (14 points).

Lin (and Parsons) make the extra pass and make their teammates better. Beverly and Brooks are decent passers but Beverly's game is basically shoot threes and Brooks tend to need the ball a lot himself.

    Excuse my language....

So many ****ing haters. If you have a problem with Beverley's defense go b**** to McHale for overplaying him & making him cover for everyone! Dude only plays his heart out on every damn play and possession. Who cares if you think he's overrated on defense, he still plays it better than any freaking guard or wing player we have on this team! We are better for having him on the team. As the hipsters say, better recognize!

    Thank you!

    True that...all of it.

He's our starter and has been since the OKC series. Brings it every night. That's why Mchale wants him on the floor as our starting PG. Bull said it best tonight Bev is everything we need in a starting PG. Hate all you want but the ball don't lie, proof is in the pudding and the cream always rises to the top. 1 turned in 3 games! Enuff said!

Bev vs Curry. I almost feel sorry for Curry...Almost. Gonna start a new Winn streak this Friday.

Bev handled Parker and Lillard and did a pretty good job on Dragic. The tougher and more elite the PG he faces the better he likes it. Gonna be hard for Curry to hit all them threes with Bev up in his grill. Im calling it. Curry will shoot 30% tops from 3pt range and have 15 points tops.
