Best rocket of all time? Nah.
Best rocket of this millennium? Yeah, I'm pretty sure he can get there. I mean as far as numbers go, he's already equivalent to the best T-Mac years. T-Mac was only a star for the Rockets for 3 years? Maybe a little less than that? Harden's 1st season is pretty comparable to TMac's 1st season (which was probably his best season as a Rocket). Harden was only 23 at the time of his first season, compared to TMac being 25. Harden had to adjust to being a starter and being a star, whereas TMac had his experience in this area.
Harden will probably end up being a top 3 Rocket of all time. He just needs to learn to try on the defensive end. And some days he can't be so lazy, like he was against Phoenix tonight.
Harden is a star no matter what you say. And thing that qualifies a person to be a star, Harden has. He may not have the FG%, but it was better than TMac and no one knocked on his stardom. Dude averages 24, 25 on 45, 44% shooting. Averages another 5 assists and 5 rebounds. He is an offensive maestro, but unfortunately his defense just sucks. For him to become a true force he has to develop that other half of the game.

Once Haren comes back from injury, and is able to give more effort on defense, he will be able to reach Vernon Maxwell territory.

It's obvious you've taken Viagra for Haren. Give it a rest.

ok bro. i went out on richmond when we won in 94 dancing in the streets. It's because we're true fans we're allowed to b**** when we see selfish players wearing our rocket red screwing it all up. I've been a fan longer than harden has been alive. I can b****.

No one ever thought that. At least no one with a clue.

If he improves his defense, he may be able to pass Chandler Parsons.

no it doesn't. you support your players through thick and thin. whether it be Lin, Parsons, Harden, Dwight. You support them to do better, not knee jerk and bash at every opportunity you get

I start to wonder what's really bugging him this season, and the more important question--how do the coaches get him back on track?

Injury combined with the pressure to prove your last season was not a fluke.

He's not handling the pressure well. Hope he can learn something from these games. He has to.

He's playing like a freaking breaking down 30 year old Tracy McGracy right now.

No defense, no heart, shoots a ton of 3s instead of driving to the hoop, looks for cheap fouls as opposed to trying to put the ball in the hoop, and in the last 3 minutes still wants to be 'the man' ...

This is the TMac that quit on the Rockets. Harden's not there yet, and he has an injury as an excuse ... but he's heading in that direction ...
