Yeah honestly I'd rather AB start over Pat. better spot up shooter and better of the dribble. Beverly doesn't play with the same intensity as he did coming off the bench, which is understandable.
it's ok to have off nights but if you are to be a real leader of the team, once you realize you do not have the touch on this night, you try to do other things to help out. 0-10 from three, 3-17 overall, 5 TOs!! Smart players know how to impact the game without necessarily dominating the ball all the time. Play harder on D, set screens, act as decoy. If the foot injury makes it hard to play D for long periods, and the shooting is cold, then ask to sit down instead of hurting the team.
The bev/AB combo has lost the last 2 games and been dominated by the opposing Guards Bev needs to worry
If we had either Parsons or Lin, we probably would've won this game. Having both of them out seriously sucks because those 2 are a huge part of our offense.
Beverley is a role player. On offense he is a complete zero unless he has an open three. Brooks can score but no efficiently and will give up more points on the other end.
Credit to the Suns, they played great defense. They were aggressive and physical and it didn't come easy. I think our team comes into games thinking they will just score easily. The Suns showed if you make everything difficult and make us uncomfortable we don't have the defense or the discipline to overcome a poor scoring night. We need to become the team that when the offense is not flowing, where we can stop the opposition from getting easy buckets, limit the amount of possessions they get etc. Honestly, if I were coaching this team, tomorrow I would be comparing film of us to the Spurs. That is the team we need to become and it doesn't happen over night. PJ Tucker played some of the best defense I have seen on Harden. He made is hard to Harden to catch the ball, let alone make any plays. As everyone losses their **** watch a Miami game today and compare it to the first month they came together. Think about that in relation to our coaching staff as well. All we can do is watch some film and as a team focus on the little things for Golden State. It is 2 bad games in a 82 game season. The only way to improve in this sport is to make mistakes and learn from them. So embrace this run as a learning experience. For some perspective, we are still 13 and 7. If you look at every team, they have losses against teams they should beat and beat teams they probably should lose to. The sky hasn't fallen.
People talking about Asik and Lin are off base. Team didn't miss a beat when Asik was pouting and not playing. Matter of fact the team started playing better. Brooks filled in well when Lin went out. Parsons goes out and all of a sudden the team plays with no heartbeats no effort.
T Jones wasn't horrible, didn't play too much and Bev played a solid enough game. Made a big shot and played solid defense. Dwight was OK, Garcia, not great, Harden was unbelievably putrid.
Parsons is our glue guy, we need him back asap. Brooks defense makes me want to vomit so get well soon lin
Not big enough for the amount of disappointment. Even the other team coach look disappointed at the end.
We are the worst in TURNOVERS. Teams that commit a lot of turnovers are usually not consistent. Rockets are not consistent.
Very disappointed but overall not concerned yet. It simply reinforce the point that we have to be fully healthy to contend in the playoffs.
All rough game for the Rox. But Bev was the one bright spot. 4-10 FG 12pts with 2 assists and 8 boards and two steals! And he only commited one turnover the whole game. That's the only turnover in the last three games that Bev has committed. Like Bull said that's what you NEED from your starting point guard. Bev is getting his on. The offensive end, taking care of the ball and locking down the opposing PGs. Held Dragic and Bledsoe in check for most of the late time some late questionable fouls. Dragic 6-11 19pts with only 4 assist! and 4 steals (two which were fouls not called) Bledsoe 7-14 20pts with only 3 assists 2 steals but Bec made him turn it over 4 times! Bev got some timely hooping when he got his hit that wet three when the Roxs were down 10 to cut the lead with like1:10 to go. Bev is always there at the very end of games making plays happen!
