He will be so hated that no one will go with him.

Saban thrives on new challenges and is a self motivated mercenary - while there may be other impediments, it's silly to suggest that that the Texas situation is far too daunting for him to dare to attempt because he'd prefer "instant' success. he's famous as a process oriented architect, rather than a guest star who makes a vameo

Malzahn is just the favor of the month. Gene Chizik didn't lose a game in over 2 years with undefeated seasons at Auburn and Texas AND he won a national title as a coordinator and another one as a head coach. 2 years later? NOPE!

And anyone who thinks Malzahn would have led Iowa St to a winning record is delusional.

Precisely. If it goes down then so be it, but I'd be truly stunned.

Why? Iowa State had a winning record in 2 of the 3 years prior to Chizik and in the year following Chizik. In the last 10 years, their worst two years were the ones under Chizik. Malzahn wouldn't have had to even be great to have a winning record there.

Wow. If B&E did then I'm believing. They aren't the type to toss something out unless it's likely legit

    LOL pretty much this.

The words "sources have confirmed" have been used in this Saban to Texas saga far too much for this to be really believable.

After FSU beats Duke to officially eliminate Alabama from the BCS Title game, Saban to UT will either happen quickly or not happen at all.

I don't want Saban and think there's no chance he comes here for a variety of reasons, but I will say that when one Alabama fan murders another for not caring enough, that might be a WTF moment for me to consider getting the hell out of there. I know it's an isolated incident and all, but it would at least give me pause.
