It's more like deciding whether or not it is worth it to respond to something that is so blatantly and obviously wrong. You can take the time to correct someone and explain why they are wrong but odds are it won't change anything and it won't prevent them from posting bad analysis again in the future.
Dwight is being paid 22 million a year. He should have dominated that game against the Jazz especially with both Parsons and Lin out. No excuses for this dude. His stats are underwhelming and worse then his output with the Lakers last year. 75% of the reason his paycheck is so high is because of his ability to play defense and quite frankly I don't see it.
If you can't see the drastic effect Dwight is having on the Rockets, then frankly you don't know what you are looking at.
I believe Dwight has had an effect on the team overall but to be honest I believe his effect is mainly due to his past success/reputation. He is not the same player currently and I'm afraid teams will start to realize that and not give him as much respect as they are currently. He has to at the very least play with more fire and desire on a more consistent basis to continue to have a positive effect on the team. That goes for Harden too especially on the defensive end.
Better yet, just add them to your Ignore List and save yourself the trouble Ahhh, the ignore list... the greatest tool ever for keeping sane in the GARM
Yet another sub-par night by Dwight with both Parsons and Lin missing. So frustrating to watch. The man is a mental midget. Shaq & Barkley clown his game so refuses to run PnR but instead tries to bang down low where he turns it over every other play. Tired of seeing those awkward and robotic moves end in empty possessions.
I don't mind Howard's inconsistent offense. Why? Even if he plays bad on offence, he rebounds and plays defense. And more often then not he can command a double team. It isn't his fault that Harden's defense is like a turnstile.
14 and 18 is cool and Dwight hustled but he still showed his limitations tonight on the offensive end and couldn't be counted on with Harden struggling tonight. Dwight and Harden are flawed stars. I don't feel either one of them are superstars because of their major flaws in certain areas. On another note, Parsons and Lin looking more and more important at this point.
This is who he is. If you are mad about his performance, then it is on you for having your expectations too high to begin with.
Dwight is a very average offensive center. He cannot dominate or take over games offensively which really hurts us in games like this when Harden's shot is off. Defense and rebounding wise, he's very good but I honestly thought he would be better in these areas. He's not blocking many shots and has had multiple games with less than 10 rebounds already. He seems to be inconsistent in all areas.
NBA got rid of the power game, and until Dwight decides, to get rid of his power game, and uses quickness, and jump hooks....and stop tryin to get 1inch from basket using power...he will be who he is
Hard to dominate or 'show up' when after scoring 9 in the first Qtr Dwight doesn't touch the ball again until the 4th…and please get Kenny Smith to teach these guys how to feed the post, that was horrible watching the perimeter players standing there confused when Dwight has position and is calling for the ball. You can't criticise the guy if he's giving good effort, but not being used properly. my previous posts in this thread: If Hakeem was playing on this team he'd be putting up similar numbers…BECAUSE THE COACH WOULDN'T USE HIM EFFECTIVELY or FEED HIM WHEN HE'S HOT!!! Also hard to 'Show Up' when your coach's playbook consists of one play:
I bet he actually saw the ball & his team mates were able to pass him the ball in a position to score...
The Rox are in trouble when they don't make threes, pretty much like they were last year. I was hoping Dwight could give us a consistent presence inside but its not happening. Tjones and Dmo are more skilled in the post, they need to be getting some inside plays run for them instead. Dwight needs to swallow his pride and stick to pick and rolls.
