Aelliott. I expected way better than that from you man. When Harden is off in lala land ball watching or letting 8 miilion drives go by him and someone like Dwight has to overcompensate for his r****dation is it Dwights fault that his man scores? Or Bevs fault if his man scores? Dude is a complete liability on D. You couldnt point to one other "star" pkayer in this league that is so incompetent on one side of the ball. Not even Melo.
Houston and it's fan base are too good for Harden... We have been spoiled by great athletes in this city like Schaub and K-Mart over the past years and Harden doesn't match their standards. Harden giving up 7 to 50 buckets last night against Utah is unacceptable... Just like it was unacceptable with his horrible defensive performance in San Antonio. And don't get me started on the 76ers game _ OMG he was horrible. Defense is the most important thing in basketball. That's why Indiana has beat the other top ranked teams all year with that gauntlet of a schedule they've been through which has been the hardest in the league. That's why George is better because of his defense. And being able to jack up 30 shots and dish out 3 assist was a spectacular way to pull off that victory in Portland last night. Portland is the #4 ranked scoring team in the NBA with 104 points a game and they only scored a measly 106 points against George and the mighty Indiana defense. DEFENSE TRUMPS ALL. So you're right homie, and plus George has a longer track record of big time play and winning big time games than Harden so what Harden has done in the NBA since he's been drafted and what he did last year with this team full of super star players is meaningless compared to what George is doing now so George is better. All your points are proven and you've totally convinced me...
?!?! LeBron didnt play good defense early on?? Like rookie year? Dude was all defense first team when he was 24.
LOL, this is so pathetic. Can you imagine the Miami Heat getting destroyed by Gordon Hayward, and people are saying "why are you so mad at LeBron?!?! he scored on shane battier too!!!" Do you see how silly that sounds? So stop bringing up Ronnie freaking BRewer. It's not just Hayward, this stuff happens all the time. Steve Blake, Jodie Meeks, JJ Redick, these opposing guards are scoring way above their averages all the freaking time.
Mad at what? The facts? That's all he did, I didn't see him even give a opinion on who was better. Just the select few that will ignore it and continue to run their agenda I guess.
What does that have to do with Harden? One team has great team defense, the other team has suspect team defense. It's not about whether he scored on Battier, he just showed that people tend to over exagerate about Harden and his defense.
You do know Lebron came into the league straight out of high school correct. So lol if he was 24 coming out of high school, damn he was dumb a** he**. bwhahahahahaha Lebron has five All-Defensive teams awards, three with Miami and two in Cleveland.
Bro you tripping big time. Did you defend Tracy McGrady like this too? Again Harden is a beast and the City of Houston is extremely happy we got him. Some of us wants him to play better defense and that's all. So stop going over the top because people are calling him out for his terrible defense. He actually played solid defense against the Spurs the other night, we just want to see that every night.

That has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. George vs Harden is the topic and you and many others say George is better and some say it's not even close because Harden isn't much better offensively than George. And you've been on here trolling about it hard so I see why people who don't know you think you are a LOF... Lol... Plus George got player of the month so you guys must be right... Plus Indiana easily shut Harden down during the preseason two games straight. You guys win. I'll pop back in this thread after December 20th so I can see you guys talk about how much better George is than Harden..
Hmm...so if the Heat got destroyed by Gordon Hayward but he only scored 5 baskets while being guarded by Lebron then you'd place the entire blame on Lebron? If you did that then it would be as much of a knee jerk reaction as you had to last night's game. Sorry to bring facts into the discussion but you're acting like Harden was torched for all 29 of Hayward's points when in fact he wasn't. Do you see anywhere in this thread or any other thread in the history of this BBS where I claim that Harden is a good defender? I've simply stated what happened last night. Originally Aleron made the statement that Hayward only scored 3 baskets on Harden in the first quarter. You're response was to tell him to "Stop making stuff up". My original post was simply to point out that Aleron's statement was 100% correct. Regarless of what you think of Harden's defense, implying that Harden was to blame for Hayward scoring 29 last night is completely untrue. Sorry that you don't like Brewer being mentioned but he's suppose to be our defensive stopper on the wing and Hayward scored 3 baskets on him in less than 4 minutes. I do find it funny that Hayward would score 3 times in less than 4 minutes on our best wing defender and you decide that him scoring 5 times in 43 minutes on Harden is the reason we lost. I gave you facts accompanied by video to back it up. Specifically which of the facts that I've stated do you disagree with? Do you agree that Hayward scored 12 baskets ? Did you watch the video of his baskets? Do you still think that Harden was guarding him the whole time? What exactly are you disagreeing with? Now you're mentioning Blake, Reddick and other who didn't play last night. I'm not sure how they're related to the discussion which has totally been based on what happened last night. Maybe Harden is the worst defender in the history of the NBA and he got lucky last night and his man missed shots. Whatever the reason he simply didn't get scored on all that much last night. That's a fact and that's exactly what I stated.
Harden is great, but unless you're a homer there's no way you're picking Harden over Paul George right now.
Yeah, all that to imply that Harden was good on defense last night (even if he only was directly involved in 5 baskets, he was a major factor for like 20 additional). Harden was good on defense last night -- go run with that.
I wouldn't go that far. ESPN just ranked Harden above George going into this season. It is way too early on to say that anybody that isn't convinced that George is now better than Harden after only 18 games is a homer and especially when Harden is hurt. George is dominating right now but let's see how the rest of the season plays out.
And its no coincidence that Barkley is ring less. I'm sure looking back now Barkley wishes he gave more effort on the defensive end.
