And then Missourri takes care of business and Blowhio State loses to Michigan State and the BCS offers one more "F U" and puts the tide in the championship :)

I don't expect it to happen, especially since they already dealt with a dramatic victory over Georgia only to be followed up by Alabama, but it definitely is a possibility.

Really I just think they're giving Mizzou no credit and already assuming Auburn and Ohio State are finished with their seasons, therefore giving Mizzou a mental edge.

Luckily it's in Atlanta. It's definitely going to be more Auburn fans than Mizzou. We'll see. It'll be a good game.

You know there's no chance of that. :) Not even 0.1%. Bama needs both Michigan State and Duke to win.

If Mizzou wins the SEC and OSU loses, Mizzou would be in the title game.

Mizzou is just barely behind Alabama now and would obviously pass them by beating Auburn.

You would need help from Michigan State. Don't rule it out.

Just for posting that, I hope Alabama plays NIU in the Cucumber Bowl.

It's been 2 years and I still can't get used to not having UT and aTm play on (or around) Thanksgiving. Just doesn't seem right.

So, there's no chance they meet in a bowl this year, right?

haha. It won't happen. We'll play Clemson in the Orange Bowl this year. NIU is most likely headed to Arizona to play the Big 12 Champ which brings up another point. Why the F does NIU and UCF get Bcs bowls this year? They both need to lose this weekend so better teams (Baylor, MSU, Stanford)

    None.

BCS will take top two SEC teams (SEC Championship winner/Alabama)

Then SC gets the Capital one bowl.

Cotton Bowl is next and they will most likely pick LSU.

I think A&M will go to the Chik Fil A bowl(SEC VS ACC) while Texas (Depends on if they win or lose) can go to anyone of these bowls: Fiesta, Holiday, Cotton, Texas, Buffalo Wild Wings

You really think the Cotton Bowl takes LSU over TAMU? Not trying to be sly, just curious to discuss the topic. TAMU vs Baylor seems to hold some appeal, plus, TAMU has the reigning Heisman. LSU is deserves the better bowl, no question - but TAMU seems like it might be the more intriguing team. And UT might get that bowl which would make TAMU/UT possible.

Cotton Bowl just takes its pick of a remaining, non-BCS, non-Capital1 SEC team right?

Manziel has looked very average these last few games. Whether it's due to injury or whatever, he and A&M have looked fairly underwhelming.

Very true that they have the reigning Heisman + Rivalry (kinda?) with Baylor, and I could see A&M being selected over LSU, but I would say the odds are heavily against it. If A&M beat Mizzou or maybe kept it close with LSU, I think they'd have a much better case.

Definitely. I give MSU roughly a 45% shot at pulling it out... very doable.

Imagine where Oklahoma State would be right now if not for that horrific loss to WV. 2nd time in 3 years one inexplicable loss has kept them out of the NC (Iowa State 2 years ago).

Manziel has fizzled a bit, but the buzz is still there. Baylor fans would love to have bragging rights after beating Manziel. Mike Evans is another megastar to market around.

LSU? Not really all that exciting of a team this year unless you're a big fan of clever, NFL-style offensive play calling. I like LSU but average-Joe-spread-offense-guy probably doesn't.

Oklahoma State sucks. If I had to rank all teams based on a 119 game schedule where every team played every team, Oklahoma State would be 37th at best.

The bowl selections are pretty confusing sometimes so I'm probably not correct.

I believe the Cotton Bowl picks from the SEC West and usually the 2nd or 3rd place team. They pick after the BCS Bowls and Capital One bowl.

    Here are some scenario's

    Auburn wins SEC Championship

Auburn plays in BCS Championship or Sugar Bowl
    Alabama: Orange Bowl
    Captial One - SC
Cotton would then select LSU since they're the best remaining team in the SEC West.

    Missouri wins SEC Championship
    Missouri Sugar or BCS Championship
    Alabama: Orange
    Auburn Capital One
    LSU Cotton

    Missouri wins SEC Championship
    Missouri Sugar or BCS Championship
    Alabama: Orange
    South Carolina Capital One
Cotton bowl can then pick between Auburn or LSU and my bet would be LSU since the campus is much closer to the stadium than Auburns. I could be wrong though.
The loser of the SEC Championship game will drop to the Outback bowl.

Regardless, Bama will be going to the Orange bowl and will play Clemson which isn't too bad of a consolation.

They're terrible. Any team that loses to WVU is terrible. Oklahoma State is a fraud team. If they beat OU by 21 it wont change the fact that they aren't good.

I wonder how the LSU selection changes when/if Les Miles announces that Mettenberger is done for the year...

To an LSU fan, it becomes a lot more interesting, but I'm guessing the nation isn't all that interested in seeing a freshman start his first game in a bowl game against a big-time opponent.
