I agree with Pancakes. There is absolutely no reason to clean out the front office when you go from contender to worst team in the league in the SAME season. Makes no sense.
McClain is just trying to rile the fans up and get people to talk about his twitter. There is just NO WAY Kubiak is retained after this season. I've heard McClain himself say that on the radio numerous times.
He's a joke, for sure. But he's also a mouthpiece. If we don't hear about the ax swinging by 4pm on December 29th, prepare to be disappointed.
lol, rookies. Everybody knows that whatever Pancakes says, the opposite is true. If Pancakes announces that Kubiak will stay after this season, there is a 100% chance he is fired.
It may have used to be that way, but notice him & Berman have the exact same tweets these days? That's because they get called over by the PR team & given the info at the same time. McClain said they should ride out things with Schaub, then suddenly went overboard with the START KEENUM stuff 5 or 6 days before it was announced he'd start in KC. I'm by no means calling McClain smart. I'm saying I've been in the practice bubble when these events occur. Could it be all bunk? Of course. But I'm worried now for the first time since week 10 that GK will be allowed to stick out the last year of his deal.
Please note what McClain actually said. He's talking about blowing up the "entire front office." Firing a GM AND a coach. He's making the argument for Rick Smith to stay, something he has believed from day 1 of the fire Kubiak concept this year. Rick Smith is beloved by Bob McNair and is unlikely to be fired, though there is a chance.
I sure Hope the Jaguars beat the Texans again.. So you score 31 points against the Patriots at Home and still Lose- Jaguars score under 20 and you still Lose- Doesnt matter how many point you score- if the other team scores more than you---- you LOSE - those are Pathetic Post by Mcclain
I know the organization is inept but there is no way Kubiak is staying after this season. McNair won't even sell that bill of goods to the fanbase. Inconceivable!
I guess the fact that the Texans have a losing record over 8 years under Kubiak is irrelevant. Does having the worst record get you fired? 2012: Chiefs, Romeo Crennel = FIRED 2011: Rams, Steve Spagnuolo = FIRED; Colts, Jim Caldwell = FIRED 2010: Panthers, John Fox = FIRED 2008: Lions, Rod Marinelli = FIRED 2007: Dolphins, Cam Cameron = FIRED 2006: Raiders, Art Shell = FIRED 2005: Texans, Dom Capers = FIRED 2004: 49ers, Dennis Erickson = FIRED 2003: Giants, Jim Fassel = Fired; Cardinals, Dave McGinnis = Fired; Raiders, Bill Callahan = FIRED 2002: Bengals, Dick LeBeau = FIRED Seems like there's quite the precedent for firing a coach who finished dead ****ing last, even when teams tie for last place. The lone exception in the last 11 years were the Rams in 2009 and that was because it was only Spagnuolo's first year. So John, ask me about how often a coach gets fired one year removed from 2 playoff appearances and I'll ask you about how often a head coach is retained after finishing dead last. Deal? I mean, Jim Caldwell went 24-8 with an AFC Championship in his first 2 seasons with the Colts, lost the most irreplaceable player in the league in Peyton Manning, subesequently went 2-14 and HE got fired. He had more success in the 2 years prior to his "bad" year than Kubiak did and was dealt a bigger blow with the Manning loss than any Gary has had to deal with and he STILL got fired. Oh yeah, they fired their GM too.

I can't remember many teams that have fired GM and coach after 1 losing season coming off consecutive division titles and playoff wins.
— John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) December 3, 2013
I'm not surprised you don't remember that, it only happened last year.
The Texans have lost 10 in a row- 10 in a row when there suppose to be a Super Contender... Mcclain is so full of it.. Kubiak will have to be fired..
Rick Smith is beloved by Bob Mcnair because he's the only GM in the lacking the balls to tell Cal Mcnair (Bob's son) to get the hell out of his draft room.
And, Mclain is so obvious, he is moving along Bob's agenda that the GM should not be fired for the reason quoted above. The Texan's only exist to give Cal Mcnair a creative outlet and likely out of Bob Mcnair's real business ventures afterall, NOBODY loses money in the NFL, even with your idiot son running the show. Mcclain, you're supposed to be a reporter not a part of the Texan's PR Team you scmuck. My thoughts Gary and his staff are gone after the season, the GM stays and maybe Wade stays either as HC or on as DC and none of this changes anything, as long Bob Mcnair is running the team like his own personal daycare for Cal, it's hopeless for us.
John McLain should be fired. He's been incompetent the ENTIRE time he's covered the Texans. "David Carr is the penultimate franchise QB" "Tony Boseli will be back by week 5"
