That lil Tim Duncan bank shot -- I've been saying all along, he has to add that to his arsenal.

Low BBIQ--when you keep posting up the same way to no success, and even Hakeem says he constantly regresses--then your teammates will stop feeding you except when they can get you lob passes, because you're just wasting the possessions away.

    This is a joke right?

Dwight is averaging 17points & 12.3 rebounds along with 2 blocks per game, he would be averaging a heck of a lot more if he was used properly & not frozen out of the offence in the second half. Those stats are numbers that Asik could only dream about achieving.

Best scenario is Rockets trading away Asik. He doesn't want to be in Houston, & his performance is showing that. I understand that he might be upset about the Howard signing, but be professional and do your job until a decent trade partner can be found.

I liked watching the rise of Asik last season, his effort and passion was awesome to see, but Dwight is in another stratosphere in comparison to Asik. Omers strength is rebounding and defending the post, the guy can't even catch a pass for goodness sake!

Dwight Howard & James Harden will lead this team to a Championship either this season or the next.

Howard has gotten a max contract because of his past achievements and his personality. Hindsight is 20/20 but if this is what we are going to get from him on a nightly basis for the forseeable future then I would rather trade him and keep Asik.

Asik better than Dwight is just plain Stupid... Howard is still averaging
17 Pts 12 Rebounds without getting many touches.. If he can just learn how to hit his FT's in a more Consistent manner he would be averaging over 20 Points.. come on Guys- We lost to the Jazz ok, but now we have to trade him.. It happens you cant win them all.. I cant believe the negative on this sites after a loss.. The season just started and we are in 5th Spot in the West.. Last year we were not even in the playoff Hunt at this time with Asik asour starting Center.. Really guys we should be more positive and let the season play out... There's a ton of basketball to be played.. How do you think San Antonio fans feel that we beat them and than we lose to the JAzz.
    There in the same boat...

Asik will be traded - not sure to who, but lets just trust Morey... We can only get better as the season goes on..
The Miami Heat started like under 500 when the 3 stars first got together, We are meshing together quicker and really think will be very good by the All Star Break.. Lets just be Positive.. I know we shouldnt be losing to the JAzz, but it happens... Crappy teams are also profesionals and will upset good teams.. Im sure the Heat have and will be upset a couple of times this year...
IT Just Happen- Its the NBA...

It's clear that Dwight is no longer Orlando Dwight. He's not as good. But it's equally clear that he's a still a star. Perhaps borderline superstar depending on how you define it.

For this year, it's likely that you can't expect much more than his current play. For the future, it all depends on how much finesse he can incorporate into his play. Because he can no longer bulldoze his way inside like he used to.

As someone who really expected a better version of the Lakers Howard, I'm quite pleased with his play. But no, he's not going to "show up" until he can expand his game.

Howard is still the best center in the league. We need coach to make easy plays for him to finish at the basket and only the very occassional post up

Howard also needs to be more aggressive on the boards. To me he seems to be coasting

LOL, these posts are ridiculous. Howard, when he's hardly getting touches, getting 17/12/2. On like 30 minutes a game. The dude is WAY better than Asik.

    He blocks more shots.
He intimidates the hell out of driving guards.
    He can finish shots.
    He can catch passes.
    He grabs more rebounds.
His presence alone demands a double team.
    He is a team player.

    Idiot kneejerk threads.

People that don't watch games are really calling this thread Kneejerk? You've got to be ****ing kidding me? I already stated in the OP it's because of his severe lack of superstar games this season, he's arguably been our 4th best player this year which isn't good enough. Anyone pointing out his 17 PPG average has to account for the severe inflation of that stat due to the Hack-a-Dwight tactic.

The man is shooting a pathetic 0.65 on post ups and has a 23% TO ratio on them. The fact that people continue to blame his offensive ineptitude on his teammates is mind boggling. Last year the excuse for his poor play was on D'Antoni and Kobe when does Dwight get any blame?

He'd be better of sticking to PnR plays but apparently he's too proud to play that way. I don't get the logic in having an elite PnR finisher along with two above average PnR guards yet hardly ever run the damn play. That's the only way Dwight is a threat to any team offensively because his post game is beyond laughable.

Omar is NOT a better fit and catch a cold in Alaska in December. However, we need the MAX players (Harden and Howard) to lead on defense. These 2 are prime examples of AAU at the NBA level. Don't understand that it takes max effort on D to win..

Howard doesn't deserve $22M. However He can look like a superstar with PnR. PnR Harden and Howard is MONEY. Not sure why we only ran 3 or 4 times a game.

you guys always bring up this asik cant catch thing, I understand you think howard is the bettre player, but be fair when talking about ASIK

-asik cant but howard turns over the ball the same because of this post game, travels, and offensive fouls
-he is a better one on one defender and better P&R defender
-he sets screens the better than anyone on this team, which comes in handy with guards like lin and harden
-with howard you rely on 3 point shooting, that’s why we were on a roll because our shots started falling
-if you notice harden got to basket more last year because of asik P&R
-no hack a asik, howard scores 5 more points than asik but those come off free throws

Dwight is getting you 17/12/2 in only 33 minutes a game.

His defense at the 5 spot overall has been elite.

He is getting 17 points a game on ONLY 10 SHOTS.

    His FG% is nearly 60%.

He is 1st in the NBA in Rebounding %.

The Rockets are 13-6 this year with him.... at this point last year the Rockets were 9-10 without Howard.

Anyone that expected Howard to be a back to the basket Yao Ming type player did not watch Howard play close enough. His game is over powering players and cuts to the basket and putbacks.

Howard's attitude has been very good and he has not complained about touches. I am overall happy with him.

Dwight is NOT getting the ball consistently. They don't go to him if he misses a shot until like 8 minutes later in the game. There needs to be a time during the game where we run plays for him constantly. I've seen him get into some nice grooves like the game in Dallas and that happened because we went to him from the start of the game. The guy is a mismatch like 90% of the time, we need to use him when our shots aren't falling.

LMFAO you are 13-6 with injuries to Jeremy Lin and James Harden early in the season and everyone is playing "terrible"?
