George's shot isn't even hitting the rim jesus. The stark difference between Vogel's late game play calling and McHale's is mind boggling by the way. George keeps getting good looks.
Umm... some of those 3s are just bad shots. But they look good when they go in. Stars have the ability to make those shots. Those aren't good playcalling.
Wes Matthews played amazing D despite Paul George hitting those crazy 3s. He also shoots above 50% from the field and above 40% from 3, averaging 17 pts. 2 way player.
The Pacers should have put the starters on the floor earlier in the second quarter. Pacers bench kind of suck except Scola.
Portland is starting to scare me. I hadn't even factored them into the race for the top-4 seeds (which is so important in the West) and now it's sinking in that they might well be a lock. That is one talented squad.
Proud of the Blazers. Great win for them. They were better than the Pacers tonight and deserved to win. The question for both of these teams is how will they react after losing 2 or 3 games in a row and their mental toughness is tested. I'm not convinced Portland is a top 4 team in the West. They will fall off eventually.
Portland is legit, but so much went their way. Give me a rematch without Stephenson in foul trouble and you may have a different outcome.
Eh.. they shoot too many jumpers for my liking. And their 2 stars aren't efficient. Long term, they won't be a threat. I would be very surprised if they have a top 3-4 record in the West. Things will play out. And Indy's weakness remains their spotty offense. George Hill is mad inconsistent, their bench is on/off, and West isn't the same offensively. They need to play great defense to win games. Allowing Portland to shoot 47% and getting to the line 33 times doomed them. Paul George isn't going to do this versus Lebron James. So for Indy to surpass Miami in the playoffs, they need more a more balanced and consistent offense.
Paul George! I'm considering him for top 3 player in the league right now! Wow! I'm actually impressed by both Indiana and Portland. Both teams are for real
I'm not sold on Blazers yet either. They caught Pacers on their 2nd game of b2b, and you could clearly see the Pacers were gassed in the 2nd half with the exception of PG obviously. The dude is young and can probably play for at least another quarter on adrenaline alone after catching fire like that.
