Report 1 said that Paul was with his wife about to leave when he was asked to go for a quick ride in the Porsche. In the video below. It looked like he left to go tell his wife after being ask to go for a ride

Report 2 was that they survived the impact and tried calling for help but the flames were so bad no one could get close to help

Not sure why Walker's death is similar to Dunn's. One was drinking while the other was untimely.

Feel bad for Tyrese. He couldn't even grieve in peace with all of the onlookers and paparazzi surrounding him and recording his every move.

Is that a busy street? Maybe a security camera caught the car before impact, our maybe even at that very moment.

I would never question TMZ around LA because they pay their sources there.

I haven't seen one report that says that. I have, however, seen drivers familiar with the car talk about how unforgiving this particular car is to even the tiniest mistakes even for a professional driver. Not really huh?

It's a real luxury to own a Porsche Carrera GT.

"The clutch is brutal, the power is savage and the handling....you really are on a knife edge. But if you put in the effort boy, oh boy do you get the rewards.

It is a phenomena - mind blowingly good. Make a mistake - it bites your head off."

So much negativity in this thread.

You knew he wasn't getting an Oscar for his performance before you were going in to watch. The Fast movies were an enjoyable popcorn movie, nothing really more.

    RIP Paul Walker. :(

It's a shame. He seemed a like really good guy in the interviews I saw and I always found his movies entertaining. On the other hand, it's a valuable lesson for those kids who race cars around all the time. Take your stuff to the track, don't get yourself killed. RIP Paul Walker

It's a $450,000 car. What else do you call it?

Edit: Never mind, that's what I get for not reading ahead.

Looks like Porsche has to answer, not for the loss of control, but the fact that the car burst into flames. That shouldn't happen, should it?

Unless the car is electric then yes and it can happen..... Its a car that lost control and was destroyed by the impact. Excessive heat and a fuel leak due to impact is pretty much what happened. Most cars today and especially Porsche design cars to try and minimize this but lets keep in mind that the accident was the result of the fire and not engine failure..... Not Porsche's fault someone took their car and lost control.

I'm not a car enthusiast or anything but I've read that the gas tank is located in the front of the car so that probably played a large role in it catching fire so quickly yes?

I thought it was funny too seeing people argue against Porsches being considered luxury cars.

Think of it like Gucci. All clothes made by Gucci are luxury items but they just serve different purposes. You're probably not going to wear and feel the same in Gucci rain boots as you do in suede boots but they're both luxury items.

Same way with cars. You're probably not going to drive or feel the same in a Phantom as you do in a Carrera but they're both luxury items.

You are correct. This small compact super sports car design has the engine in the rear and the gas tank is in the front just ahead of the passenger’s compartment. the tank is located where it is because the car’s design doesn’t leave room for it anywhere else. The problem is the tank is right at the feet of the driver and passenger. So any front end collision at a high speed has a higher percentage of bursting into flames.

Check out this front end collision at high speed.

As for the argument whether a Porsche is consider a luxury or not. Anytime you own something that a small percentage can afford is consider a luxury imo. The Porsche is an exotic luxury super sports car. Especially the gt3 which can be right around $130k.
