Haddadi is barely cleared to play in China due to injury.

Maybe fans should start holding signs at games asking Asik to change his mind and stay?

The TT experiment failed. Asik will be dealt at the trade deadline or during the summer. Morey is not going to leave that lotto ticket uncashed.

Unless the deal is fair (doubtful), to convince Asik to to stay for one championship run would be awesome.

And signs, chants, billboards, whatever, just let him know the fans want him to stay.

That's a good idea. We should start making signs and chants as much as possible to let Asik know that we want him to stay. The billboard would be awesome.

Thought about that, fans should do something, even if its only 100, Howard had 3,000+ fans outside, after ASIK held us down in playoffs, another reason why I think he wanted out.

But at the games fans actually cheer the loudest for ASIK out of all our players when he comes in, scores, or makes a free throw, so I guess people are trying hard.

If Asik survives the trade deadline (BIG IF) then we can talk about keeping him for a year.

It's business for Asik as well because there is no guarantee that he will win the WC or the Championship this year why should he wait..... for it?

Houston Rockets needs Asik. I don't know if we can get anybody to replace him except those higher paid players. He's a very important player especially in the playoffs where everything slows down and defense becomes the main staple. I think this is the main reason why defensive centers like him are a premium nowadays.

I would totally be down to contribute (monetarily or time-wise) to a #StayAsik campaign.

If you cut 4 minutes of Dwights minutes and tweak a minute or two from someonelse, Asik can still play around 22 to 24 minutes a night and be effective till the deadline where he will most certainly be traded.

Keeping Asik would be great, but if a trade for a top level point guard appears I think we would have to jump on it. We have to build our team to compete with the top teams in the west if we want to be a serious contender. Currently the Spurs have Parker, the Clippers have Paul, and the Thunder have Westbrook, until we get a point guard to defend them we wont truly be able to contend.

Patrick Beverley does as good a job on these guys as any PG in the NBA.

I agree I didn't see any production from Westbrook in games 3, 4, 5 and 6 last year in the playoffs.

    He totally shut him down!

Lay off Omer. Both he and the rockets are right

I find it amusing that people are saying now that Omer has "accepted" his role he shouldn't be traded. Omer has only stopped publicly "pouting" because its obvious the FO told him they will move him before the AS game. If the FO doesn't you better believe Omer is going to make a public spectacle of his displeasure.

And frankly I think he has every right. All this talk about whats good for the team is frankly hypocritical. This is a business and Morey had shown time and again that he only looks at players as assets to be used in pursuit of wins. They will be traded or cut any time a better deal comes along. I don't blame Morey at all. That's how this business goes. But it's ridiculous for fans to smack talk Omer because he wants what's best for his career, which is starting, in order to make the most money. If it was only about the "privilege" of being a "contending" team then He would have stayed in Chicago, which at the time of his signing was the 2nd or 3rd best team in the East. Morey made him assurances and now Morey has not delivered.

Lin may be fine with being marginalized and having his career, stats and value suffer " for the team". Same "team" that cut him on Christmas Day and now then benched Him I might add. That's fine. That's Lin's choice. Omer is not. That is both up to the player to decide. Houston was not wrong to sign Dwight and Omer is not wrong to demand a trade. But all this "for the team" stuff is hypocritical. Trust me if the Rockets get Deng and bench Parsons it would be the same. Stop acting like Omer is in the wrong. He's not and neither are the Rockets.

No double standards. This team is gonna be beastly in the playoffs. Maybe even have enough for a chip. Go Rox!

I would say $20 million is enough compensation. He should shut his mouth and play like he is getting paid to play $20 million to play bball over a 2 year period.

If he was a high school or college kid, sure, I would understand. But he is a professional, key word, professional.

If I complaint about my job, guess what, I get fired and there is no compensation. If he gets fired he still gets paid so that's why he is complaining, he knows the money is guaranteed.

You signed the money, you committed, be a man of your word and play the game.

That's the problem nowadays, no one is a man of his word. Can't trust people who don't keep their word.
