Patriots made adjustments?! No way Antonio! <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Texans&src=hash">#Texans</a>' Antonio Smith with a conspiracy theory: "Either teams are spying on us or something’s going on.” <a href="http://t.co/jTZe2JgJwX">http://t.co/jTZe2JgJwX</a></p>— Nick Mathews (@Nick_Mathews) <a href="https://twitter.com/Nick_Mathews/statuses/407284700856610817">December 1, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Does anyone have any guesses at to what in particular they had prepared on defense? "It’s miraculous they changed some things on offense that keyed on what we put on this week to stop what they were doing. They did things they never did all year before. It was a specific thing that was important to what we were going to do today, as to how we were going to call the defense. We’d not ever did it before, and they never changed like that before. It just let me know that something wasn’t right."
wouldnt suprise me, the Patriots were moving the ball at will on the panthers d in the second half on mnf... these second half comebacks that they are having are kind of suspect.... pats are known cheaters
First off, Wade and the defensive crew call the game from the sidelines, so I wouldn't think it would be all that hard to pick up on what they are signaling and correlate it to coverages, etc. Second, we had Cromartie tweet to Cushing during the lockout to get ready for certain defensive calls and also to AJ80 that he already knows Wade's defense from his time in San Diego, so I'm guessing the book on Wade is out there for public conception. Third, the Patriots got whatever match-up they wanted by moving folks around in the formation. How many times was a LB for the Texans matched up on Gronk? That is easy money for Brady. Also, the Pats almost hit the exact same play against the Texans today that they hit multiple times last year. They motion Vereen out of the backfield out wide on a LB and have him run a fly route. He beat Rudd for it last year in the playoffs, and he almost got another TD off of the same route this year. Make a freaking adjustment!
Yep...This Texans season is officially pathetic...players resort to what people do on a constant basis... exotic reasoning: "they must be spying..." (all that being said, vegas rarely ever gives out free money with the public almost 80% backing the patriots spread; and i do find it curious though that the opening line fell from 9.5 to 9 to 8.5 to 7.5 to 6.5 right before game time) and that a team who only scored 6 points at home to the Jags suddenly exploded for 31... my conspiracy theory was that McNair was paid by someone in vegas to suck it up this year; so that he would be paid a handsome amount and get along the way the #1 draft pick... lol
We lost..but had a blast today at the game with my older son. Silver linings after a loss. Really hoping they draft Teddy.
Wouldn't be the first time. The question is... who is the mole in the Texans org that put cameras inside the bubble?
I agree the Patriots always go with Vereen as a WR on a LB, and score a TD, that has happened the last 3 times the Patriots faced the Texans, it wasnt something new. The only thing different from this game to the previous is that they had Gronk for this game (- regular season - Gronk was inactive, playoffs - Gronk got hurt in the 1st quarter)
undrafted fullbacks shouldn't be breaking 6 tackles for touchdowns against us either haha http://nesncom.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/james-develin.gif?w=420&h=236
There were more than a couple big plays from the Pats that benefited from pathetic no-arm "tackling" Sunday. Way too many secondary players trying to bang and bump instead of wrap up.
