Many games last season proved Harden WAS the answer.

If you look at the play where Black Amish made the 3. It was not in ISO but rather from D12 settling the pick. TD had a soft hedge and Haden nailed the 3. This is exactly what everyone's been saying all along.
Black Amish x D12 P&R is the deadliest **** in the NBA and should be used more.
    Starting to gel be happy.

Bev is supposed to stop or harrass all point guards. That is why he is starting. Mchale and his staff know Beverley can due better against Parker. Didn't he stop a future hall of famer, Chris Paul. Drexler is very high on Beverley and said that only Beverley can take the ball from Chris Paul when he stole the ball from him. I, for one, know Beverley will stop the elite pgs. such as Westbrook. No need to make excuses for him. He is an elite defender who now may be the best PG. defender in the NBA.

Your a bit too sensitive. I have only heard good things about the Rockets from opposing announcers. BTW Dexler is harder on our own players than the other announcers (I have league pass).

I wish Bev. would have come through earlier. He is a ball magnet, a little more effort on his part against Parker early on and we would have won by 15 and leave no doubt who is the better team. Spurs probably think our win was a fluke because it came down to the last minutes to decide the game.

I don't think we should judge Beverly's performance based solely on how many points Parker scored.

I seem to recall Beverly forcing the Spurs' and particularly Parker's offense to become discombobulated at times due to his defense, and I think he even got a few blocks/steals along the way.

Beverly rarely ever puts forth an overall bad performance. Some nights he's just good, and other nights he's even better. Speaking in terms of defense, that is.

^To add to my point, I would say our bigger issue last night defensively had more to do with our lack of help defense.

A lot of times when Parker scored, it wasn't Beverly's fault. He just had no help defense.

The Spurs are too good to lack in that area.

He took a mediocre team to the playoff's, what do you mean he is not the answer. The man have been playing hurt all season and still giving you 23 points a game ..LOL

James Harden is our best player for the game and he's not even 100% healthy. He's going to be a monster when he's fully healthy.

When I'm reading your post, it seems like we watched two different games.

Harden was AWFUL on defense most of the time. He was constantly leaving his man open who usually parked himself in the corner 3. When one of Spurs' outside players drives in, the whole HOU defense collapses on him and we leave at least two shooters wide open and one of them is always the Harden's man (first Belinelli, then Green).

Yes Parsons didn't slow down Bellinelli enough, who caught fire when Harden was still covering him. After they made the defensive switch, it was too late; Bellinelli's confidence rose up in the sky and nobody could stop him.

To be fair to Harden, he seemed like he was saving up energy on defense and was a bit slow on feet, like his injury didn't heal 100% yet. I read a lot of posts that praise Harden for his offensive proficiency. Well he wouldn't have to be so proficient if he sticked to his man. How many times Harden's man played like MJ, but then Harden put the team on his back and all the GARM was "Harden's the man!". Well guess what...if he spent a bit more energy on defense, he wouldn't have to put the team on his back.

I'm still waiting though for his foot to heal 100%; then we'll know if he stays true to his word (before the start of the season he promised bigger effort on defense).

So how the hell does he average 6 assists per game in a Rockets uniform? Does this just happen by accident or what?

Well on average, there are 6 occasions where his play directly leads to a teammate scoring. This of course fails to factor in adjustments in opposing defences (double teams/strong hedges/Harden being Harden) that allow things to open up for teammates.

Well the ball is in his hands a lot. He does have legit playmaking skill though but the main problem I have is his assist/turnover ratio which was also poor last season. 5.6 assist to every 4 turnovers this season.

What are you talking about? I'm talking about the person who does the voiceovers on NBA.com's youtube highlights and have since explained that I misinterpreted what he said....
