Robert Woods @Atl or Charles Clay @NYJ I need the guy that can give me some serious points. I know it is scary to play Robert Woods, but I feel like he has so much more potential. Am I wrong about this?
I'd go Jones Drew and Tate. Might not have as much upside, but at least you know they'll get enough touches.
Should I start Ben Tate, Brandon Bolden, Chris Ogbonnoya, or Danny Amendola at my flex spot? I think Tate has the most upside but he could very easily lose his job to Johnson. If not Tate, I'm liking Bolden here, but he could easily lose his starting job too. cutting this close time-wise haha
Should I tank this week? So I have a bunch of guys going tomorrow that I'm thinking about sitting and purposely losing for playoff positioning. I'm on pace to end up with the #1 seed and a bye. If I tank, I'll be the #2 seed with a bye. I'm a little suspicious that the current #2 tanked last week to get to his spot, but maybe he just forgot to start a player...who knows. Anyhow, it's strategic thinking vs being a p***y. Worst case is tanking for the better matchup and still losing. So, what team do you avoid in 2 weeks (ppr league)? Or are they close enough so that tanking shouldn't come into consideration? Team A (projected 151 pts) QB RG3 @ Atl (or Luck vs Hou) WR Josh Gordon vs Chi WR Marshall @ Cle WR Keenan Allen @ Den RB Shady @ Min RB Lacy @ Dal RB Knowshon vs SD TE Gronk @ Mia DEF NO @ STL Team B (projected 133 pts) QB Stafford vs Bal (or Rivers vs Den) WR Jordy Nelson @ Dal WR James Jones @ Dal WR DeAndre Hopkin's Dong @ Ind RB Ray Rice @ Det RB Beast Mode @ NYG RB Fred Jackson @ Jax TE Jordan Reed @ Atl (or Jordan Cameron vs Chi) DEF SF @ TB Team A had bad luck early in the year, somehow traded for Gordon, and has been on a roll lately, hence the lower seeding. It'll be a coin flip against Team A, and I think I have a small edge over Team B? Should I tank and face Team B?
I would play team B, but remember be careful for what you wish for. But for sure tank if you can without any of the members tripping over it.
How do you know that you would face Team B in two weeks? They would have to win their first playoff game. I think team B looks very average for a playoff team. Hopkins should not be started--if they're smart they will pick somebody up off waivers to put in that spot. Team A looks pretty great, but you would have to face them eventually. Decide if a matchup with them in week 15 or 16 would be better. Usually it's not a good idea to tank, just trust your roster and hope for the best.
Need some power abuse, fantasy collusion type advice here, thanks. So basically, our commissioner changed the playoff format from 6 teams to 8 teams last week. He asked around the league, and there were no objections with the system. This move, coincidentally or not, would put him back into the playoff race along with some other teams. Now this week, with him eliminated from contention, he decided to change it back to 6 teams because that was what we originally had it on. This screws me and the other team that reached the 7 and 8 seeds, thinking we had secured playoff spots. I think if the playoffs was changed to 8 it can't just be changed back the day before the playoffs start. What do y'all think?
Yeah, I'm going to tank, and then kick myself if Rodgers goes monkey poo in 2 weeks with James and Jordy. It's just a fun non-money league so it shouldn't be a problem. You have a very good team, but just came on late so you missed out on a bye chance. If things play out as expected, you'll be battling the other good team in the semis. Tanking puts the two strongest teams (other than me) in the other bracket. I'm not sure I'd play team B, but the alternative is even better. The playoffs in our league is 6 teams, 3 good ones, and 2 with byes. The other 3 aren't terrible, but definitely weaker on paper. Thanks for the week 16 advice...I haven't checked that out yet. Just trying to find the best path to the finals and hoping things go well. Won the whole thing last year by 1/2 point. Commissioners can have a lot of power. Is this for $? His obvious self-motivated moves are not cool, but I don't know if you have any recourse.
