Parsons is not worth more than these two. Prince is an elite defender and batum is a blocking machine. I would take either of these two over parsons given the same salary.

better plan than whatever you come up with. We are already top 5 in the West without chemistry or any offensive sets, imagine when this team gels and Harden, Parsons and Lin start reaching their primes in one to two years. It's either be patient or your way trade, trade and then trade some more and never reach that team that gels. Shaq didn't three peat his first year in LA, it took him 3 years to gel with the new team and let Kobe develop.

Lol how times have changed last year when I made this argument all I heard was he was going to improve and become a max player. Oh and last year he was a stellar defender apparently with room to grow I pointed out that his draft position alone being a second rounder indicated his ceiling.

    He'll get about $8 million a year.

And you see that team being better than Miami, Spurs, Pacers, Clippers, OKC? All those teams have better rosters and more chemistry. Trade Asik for someone who can help us win now or picks that we flip later. Just rolling with who we have now for 4 years isn't going to get us any trophies. It'll just waste the opportunity we have now with Dwight.

What are you even talking about with Shaq. In his first 3 years, they didn't even have Phil Jackson as the coach. Shaq was also 24 in his first year with the Lakers. They had time to do what they wanted. Dwight's 28th birthday is in 2 weeks. 3 years to develop players means he's 31. Meaning whenever you think Parsons/Lin turns into Kobe, Dwight will be pretty much done.

Well we are not getting a star for Parsons+Asik, think of it this way would you trade your star for two role players, so for the most part this is our team

I don't see DM giving him more than he gave Scola. 9m/year maximum.

If we already didn't have 2 superstars on our roster, it would be a possibility to get someone big for such trade, but now no one would like to see another big 3.

Dont ask that question on here please. Folks would honestly answer yes that they would trade Harden for Patty Mills & a late 1st rounder because he runs more on the court than James.

The truth is if the Rockets acquired another "star" caliber player they might not look like a star caliber player due to the lack of touches offensively available & everyone here would constantly bash them after every loss. If the GARM peanut gallery bashes this much on Parsons.... a guy who can play the role of secondary scorer or just a small role with the starters no questions asked, just imagine what they would throw at that player.

So, He's not worth more than $4-5 mil per year? Really?

I think teams will be lining up to pay him 9-10 mil per year or more.

We need to sign him for 4 years / 40 million and be done with it. He is so worth it.

Parsons is VERY important to this team - probably our 2nd best player overall.

lol...why is this guy so overrated? 9-10 million? seriously? i love how these comments come after he has good games. he is simply too inconcsistent. thinks he's a point forward when he's not.

he's worth about 6 at the max. by the time his four year contract is up. you can always look for young talent in the draft. morey let brooks go, landry, hayes, buddinger, lowry was signed at 6, when has morey overpaid? except making a mistake and paying scola at his athletic peak. shoulda just let him go. he never paid dragic. it would be a huge mistake to pay parsons this much.

Morey is going to see how the Love situation pans out IMO. I think he's going to make Parsons an unrestricted free agent in his 4th year, but I feel so bad cause he deserves to get paid after this year.

Yeah behind Harden, he is our most complete player.

THIS. Parsons is amazing when he plays within himself and lets the game come to him. It's when he tries to create for himself that things start to look ugly. Just look at the first few games of the season. He looked like he was forcing things for that contract and his play was terrible.

He's a great role player but he's not our third star.
