No he's a hall of famer so he gets a free pass. McHale's brilliance at its best.

We aren't going to blow out the Spurs by 20+. Lets be serious.

11 points is a nice lead.

We could win this game if we can manage to keep the turnovers low.

You have him in the making. Be patient. Parker wasn't made in 3 seasons and he's 31.

He runs around wrecklessly. His "defense" only appears maybe 1 play a game.

Most of the time, its just running around a lot, not really do anything effective.

Don't get me around, those 1 or 2 steals he gets are great. But other than that, his defense is just okay.

    this.
I think consistency and stability is key. Once we know how to defend a lead it isn't much to worry

We were doing so much better running the ball and playing at a fast pace. Harden comes in and suddenly the pace slows to a crawl. Spurs half court defense is elite, why are we giving them 10 seconds to set up their team D.
Move the ball Harden! No more ISO.

Duncan let the ball roll after the ref was going to pass him the ball to bring it in. He let the ball roll because McHale was there and Duncan didn't like. That should have been a delay of game on Duncan, honestly. There is not a rule about a coach being behind the player, right?

Just wait for Duncan/Ginobli/Parker to go down with suspicious, non documented ankle sprains when they play Miami.

Walked in front of Duncan while he was about to inbound, I think.

Looks like Parker managed to get into Beverley's head a bit during that 2nd quarter and get him frustrated.

Guess what, that's all you can do as far as on ball defense in the NBA. The rest is up to the system, and we don't have much of one.

there's a reason for that--they're playing vs. Spurs bench.

we gotta start strong in the 3rd qtr by figuring out how to run our offense vs. the Spurs' set defense.

this is our first real test after we abandoned the TT experiment and Harden's still not 100% and Lin is not around. let's all be patient

TP is the first opposing starting PG to score a field goal in the last 3 games, so I'd say he plays D more than one play a game.

Yeah, why do the refs allow Pop to scream and spit in their face like that? Shouldn't he get a tech foul at least ?

even if we were up 30 i still wouldn't feel comfortable at half time with the spurs.

BEV is doing okay, but its tony parker. the guy can make the best defensive player in the NBA look like a rookie at times. i think he's doing an ok job on him. especially for our best defensive guard.

No one can stop Parker. CF is delusional in thinking that by sticking a hyper active defender on Parker, he will be magically immobilized. Defense is a team game. McHale relies on man to man defense too much. We need to emphasize team defense. ICE the PnR. Spend the effort up front to step over a screen. Call out help defense.
