I just tried to get store credit for around ten 360 games and the total credit was $18. I ended up keeping the games. I'd rather donate them to charity or something. I thought I would get more than that. lol

Anyone have any idea where to point someone who wants to buy this as a Christmas gift? I've been out of the video game market for awhile, but I have a relative trying to get one as a present for a son.

Neither Sony or MS have made enough, especially since they're both trying to sell these things around the world. Resellers haven't helped matters, but not surprising that it is hard to find these systems during/after Black Friday, just a week or two after they launched.

Maybe starting in January, it will be somewhat easier to find one (somewhat dependent on a few factors though).

There are tons of XB1's here in Eugene. I'm half tempted to buy and sell one because we don't have sales tax here.

I was reading online last night that both the XBone and PS4 have a lot of their features switched off at the moment for the Australian market. Fewers apps are available, some of the voice commands dont work...Im going to hold off buying one until that is all sorted.

I connected my DirectTV box to the XBone last night. It was pretty cool at first, but the interface was quite a bit slower than I had been reading in reviews. I ended up going back to using the DTV remote to change channels.

Still, being able to watch tv and play games on the same device...pretty sweet.

If you just call out the channel that you want to watch, it will change just as fast or faster than using a remote...however, if you want to scroll and using the guide, then it's better to use the remote.

My wife watches Bravo and E! and I watch ESPN, NBC, ABC, CBS, TNT, etc... Therefore, we never have the need to use the remote because I typically know what channel I want to watch (NBC for Sunday night football, ESPN for Sportscenter, etc...).

The change channels voice command works great for some channel names. But, other channel names it mostly misses on. Therefore, it's easier just to use the remote unless I know it works well for the channel name. Since Kinect doesn't seem to have an issue understanding spoken numbers, the change channel number command is a must-have IMO. For example, Kinect likes to misinterpret "Watch NBC" for me and, instead, takes me to the wrong channel. However, I never have an issue with "Watch Fox" or "Watch CNN". It's too hit or miss at the moment.

Yeah, Im sure theyll add the channel numbers...that'll be easy to implement and should help it a lot.

So, originally I was thinking xbox one had its own memory buffer for watching live tv to allow you to pause, rewind, etc. but that is clearly not the case and it's just blasting IR from the Kinect to control the DVR pause, rewind, etc.. So, that must mean if you just have a receiver with no DVR, you don't get this functionality?

Eventually, we should be able to execute every DVR function for a particular model using voice commands. That would be full TV integration and make OneGuide obsolete. They have done a few of the functions already. However, how far they take Kinect Voice as far as being a universal voice controller to control all devices is anyone's guess. I'm also not clear on whether xbox one could control RF devices by emitting RF? I doubt it; probably need an additional piece of hardware.

I was a little disappointed with how short BF4 campaign felt. I'm usually slow at those and this one flew by. I guess I should have gone with the most difficult setting versus normal.

Was having issues yesterday with the Blu-Ray player. I think it's a little glitched up at the moment, definitely needs an update.
