    Hou: Lillard, Mathews, Aldridge
    Por: Harden, Lin, Asik

Morey becomes most hated GM, our team becomes complete.

While I agree with you that we probably can`t get Love - which team can offer a wholte lot more than the deal you suggested? Because that deal is a whole lot better than the deal that netted us Harden and at that time nobody had a better offer...

I agree with you, but he said that a front court of LMA and Asik is good enough to beat anyone and I disagree.

Anyone no, but certainly possible that they catch fire and beat the Rockets.

Minny aren't the OKC. Trading a top ten star for a bunch of role players would be franchise suicide. They can get soooo much more for him than that. The most likely way we get Love is if he does what Dwight did, sign here as a free agent, leaving money on the table to do so.

    Target: CLEVELAND

They're trying to get in the playoffs. Bynum isn't gonna work. He's owed $6 million guaranteed. They've got their own pick and Sac's pick in 2014 provided Sac's pick falls below 12.

Trade 1: Asik for Sacramento's 2014 first rounder and Phoenix's 2014 second rounder and Bynum's contract on Dec. 15th.

Trade 2: At the trade deadline in February, send Lin to Milwaukee, DMO/Bynum to Philly. Get back Spencer Hawes and Ersan Ilyasova.

Philly immediately releases Bynum without having to pay him hardly anything since he's only $6 million guaranteed. They basically get DMo for Hawes' expiring contract.

We trade Asik, Lin, DMo and wind up with Hawes, Ilyasova, a 2014 first rounder, and a $12.25 million traded player exception. Brooks moves into Lin's 6th man scoring role. We can sign a backup big with our Mid-Level Exception (second year non-guaranteed of course) and we can then go into 2014 off season as players in the free agent/trade market. We'd have Birds rights on Hawes with all options available, sign him, let him go, or sign-and-trade him using our stash of second rounders as incentives for a sign-and-trade.

This is a Morey-style trade that you were describing although Morey could probably figure out how to torque it to make it even better. But the point is Asik's and Lin's contracts are gone, we pick up a 2014 first round pick, Hawes on an expiring, and value in Ilyasova that can be traded relatively easily.

This same style trade(s) would be available with Boston instead of Cleveland. Boston has a TPE from Pierce's deal. They could use it and trade KHump to us with a first rounder generating them a fresh $12 million TPE. We could then flip KHump to Philly at the deadline instead of Bynum. However that would cost Philly a few extra bucks since Khump is guaranteed for the entire season. Boston might have to figure out another trade with philly sending out Bogans and future picks for Thad Young, to help wipe Philly's cap clean.

Wouldn't a Morey style trade be to trade Asik to Cleveland for Bennett or Waiters like he did for Robinson last season...??? Lol. But that Sacramento pick could be a top 3 pick in the draft which is valuable. That's possible a star player. I don't see how Cleveland would let that pick go but I like that trade if they do. If you mean the Rockets could use it if it's under 12...

No. I think that Sac pick is top 12 protected this year. That's probably about as good a pick as we could hope for. #13 to #18 or so this year or possibly a top 10 protected pick next season. We're not going to get a top 5 (or top 10 in my opinion) pick for Asik.

All player contracts become fully guaranteed on January 10. If Philly doesn't acquire Bynum until February, they would have him on the books for the full $12.25 million he'd be owed this season. Don't think the Sixers would be interested, nor would their fan base condone such a move for a player who is most associated with setting back the franchise for years.

Well then no way I would make that trade because that Sac pick may end up being a very high lottery pick so the Rockets would have Bynum and no pick.

Hmmmmm, good point. Forgot about guarantee date. However...Philly has to pay that money somewhere. 90% rule. It amounts to $6 million more than they would have paid Hawes. So perhaps we send them our remaining cash and Cleveland sends them cash to help pay off most of Bynum's deal.

The pick is an asset. It can be traded in a package with our pick and future picks and other good players for a superstar.

What superstar do you speak of...??? And do the Rockets necessarily need one...???

Just the same _ I wouldn't trade Asik away for "HOPE"... And how often does Morey trade for superstar players...??? Getting Harden was a career trade for Morey. Can't assume he will be able to pull trades off like that all the time. As of now he's never traded for a player who was already considered a star.

If we pick up a #1 pick and Hawes or a #1 pick and Ilyasova or a #1 pick and some other proven good player that fits our system then we're not trading Asik away for hope.

Hawes would probably be just a one year rental and the Rockets wouldn't be able to afford to pay him to stay and back up Howard... And Philly would have the same problem with Asik and Noel as the Rockets have with Asik and Howard. Ersan isn't better than TJ and not much different than Casspi...

If Morey is looking at Milwaukee's roster _ I hope he's looking at trying to get The Alphabet and a draft pick. Tony Snell or Jimmy Butler from Chicago and Charlotte's draft pick would be nice as well.

What would it take to get John Henson from Milwaukee?
Asik, Motiejunas, 2014 1st for Butler and Henson?
I think Henson would be a great fit on this team: provides great defense, great rebounding, and can wouldn't hinder us offensively.
The only problem is Milwaukee probably values him too much for us to get him.
