Can't let Lin go. Cos if you do so, Harden will be the only play maker in this team.when Harden sits, there is no one capable of making play. Both Bev and Brooks aren't good at it.
Remember one golden 'rule' in rockets' play book: at any one time, leither Harden and Lin has to be on the floor?

Lin should start and Brooks off the bench as backup point guard. Beverly should get 20+ minutes per game as defensive specialist/energy guy. When Brooks does not play with the backups, they seem slow, boring, and predictable with their offensive scheme. Brooks brings a much much needed offensive spark plug off the bench. Brooks plays no worse defense than Harden, so please accept his 20+ points per game in the same manner as Harden. The sad reality in the NBA is that offense in the guard positions is more important than defense. If that we're not the case, Harden would never make an all star game and guys like Chuck Hayes would be there on a yearly basis.

Why choose two point guards, when you can have three?

AB for 3. True vet that brings experience. He should definitely get some min. When black Amish comes back mch should not run him out there for 40+ min or else he would be broken down by playoffs. The guys have shown in black Amishes and Lin absence is that we are deep. And if anyone is cruising the should be subbed out. We have players who can come in like AB3, Frisco, & Turkey boy who can produce in the areas where we need production.
I'll never forget AB3 on that inbounds alley oop toss from Artest against the fakers in that playoff game.
AB3 steppn it up give him more min MCH

Only if brooks can hit his 3s. We live and die by that shot so it's importance shouldn't be understated.

WTF this is not fantasy basketball. People wanna shuffle players like they're baseball cards. 11-5 and people are unsatisfied.

hmm..a harden/brooks backcourt could deadly on offense, it could also be deadly on defense also neither plays defense but it'd be a thing of beauty. That being said, everyone knows defense wins championships.

There's only been one game without Lin. The team would not do well, especially against really good teams, if both Lin and Harden are out for any length of time. They can still play well with one of them out, but not both.

Lin is now expendable especially with his contract. Don't be surprised if a trade is made soon.

I'm surprised so many people dislike the Bev/Lin combo. That's my favorite backcourt lineup.

back in his prime, brooks was one of the worst perimeter defenders i had ever seen. his closeouts on opposing shooters was just atrocious

If AB is such a well rounded player, why can't he stay on the floor, unless he's scoring?

He is who he is, a scoring pg, who has trouble scoring consistently because of his lack of size. Defense isn't that good. He's a vet now, so he can do some leading, but that' s why he's a good back up pg. He was never done. He's still the same old AB, but he seems to be content with just getting a great paycheck and living where he wants to be. He's not out there trying to become an all-star anymore.

Playing Brooks a lot isn't necessarily a bad thing when you've got the talent we have, but it's going to be a problem when games are tight and they become games of inches. Bev can get those extra inches on plays, Brooks can't consistently. Bev deserves the starting role and rotation spot.

AB is the irrational confidence guy. think nate robinson. when he's on, he's on. when he's off, he's off. you play him for 5 minutes. see if he's hitting shots on that particular, then you keep him in. if he isn't, take him out. heat check guy.

Not a good idea. Brooks can get lit up, it's not his fault, he's just short and pretty much a non factor defensively. We need Beverley. If you're gonna run with Lin and AB you're stretching a struggling defensive backcourt even more.

I would def wanna see what this looks like. AB can run the offence better then Bev. Put Bev in as a Def specialist. Maybe if AB starts Bev's Defence would come much stickier cause he doesn't have to worry about the foul trouble down the stretch. When he came of the bench his def was stickass good but now you gonna say it had declined to probably a bit above average probably due to the 30+ mins he has to play.

He doesn't have to start but he needs to get significant minutes as a 6th man next to lin.

Brooks is playing well enough that both he and Lin can back up Beverley and Lin can back up Harden since they're trying to turn him into a two guard anyway along with Brewer.
