    I agree

    bev/harden - 1st unit
    Lin/brooks - 2nd unit

    harden/whoever - finishing game

We've had a pair of 40 point first quarters with Beverley starting. I think he runs the offense just fine and that we manage to score enough with him in the game. To think otherwise is disingenuous. Also, as others have pointed out, his D has remained solid and is a much needed component of the starting 5, especially his penchant for rebounds.

I think the issue is when he isn't paired with Harden. With Harden or Lin he's fine.

Best guard pairing is Bev/Lin on both ends of the floor.

I like that combo, but not like mchales going to not start harden, brooks deserves mins so we have to be realistic.

That might actually be the worst guard lineup in the entire league. Seriously.

You can't use this argument any star can score when they're really hot no matter who is on them. Despite that Bev had something to do with their fg % regardless of them having an off night

Brooks definitely deserves some more minutes, especially considering he is doing the two of three things we need most at superb levels attacking the rim and three point shooting.

Think Bev should probably have minutes cut down to 25 ish, think we need more than 9 points on 41% shooting and 2 assists from a pg playing 31 mins/day.

Brooks should also get some of Lin's minutes too when he goes into passive mode. We clearly have three pgs that can give solid minutes every game might as well keep them all fresh so they can do all out the minutes they are in.

Same goes for the Harden and Parsons, no reason to run them into the ground with 38+ a game...we should be following the Spurs style, light 30's for our top players so they can actually play some tough D while their out there.

I think AB is good enough to take Hardens minutes. We should have a rotation of Harden/Bev and Lin/AB. Now that we see AB is doing so well Harden minutes should be reduced to 30 minutes/game.

Bev put up 7 points on 8 shots last night, had 2 assists and 2 boards. Those kind of numbers are becoming almost standard for Bev. However...he plays good defense and there are so many good scoring pgs in this league. Brooks has had a few good games but he adds nothing else: he doesn't pass well, or rebound, or defend, he just scores. Bev and Lin are more all around players: especially Lin. When his shot is not falling Brooks is a detriment.

Brooks is basically Harden's back up. I say give Brooks more minutes by lessening Harden's minutes. This team plays better w/out Harden and his ISOs, both on offense and on defense. With Harden out everyone is much more engaged and has more energy, including Brooks.

They play better together than Harden and Lin or Harden and Beverley. Harden can produce on his own but in terms of team play, Lin and Beverley as a pair of guards play better off of each other than they do individually with Harden. It's a good back court to use as a second or combined 1st/2nd unit squad.

Harden plays too many minutes. Also, we wouldn't have won two of those games w.o brooks.

Since Harden starts that's not really much of an issue, is it? Current injury notwithstanding of course. Seems like Beverley is the right person to start with the normal starting 5.

Brooks is an excellent scorer, but we don't need an excellent scorer at PG when this team is healthy. Lin is a better overall player, and he is playing excellent backing up the 1 and 2.
