I believe that the rockets are better off without BOTH Harden and Lin. First, I'm not saying either are terrible. They're good players. However, I don't think their type of play is the best path to winning a championship. These types of players are really replaceable with other high-scoring guards of similar size. So they need to bring in something exceptional to the table, and it's just my opinion that neither brings that exceptional thing. They are both good, and can possibly be part of championship teams, but neither is going to make or break a team.

How many guys out there if given the minutes can put up 25 ppg? It's not THAT special.

 

McHale already said that it's a bursitis in his foot in his 3rd metatarsal in a radio interview on 790.

Highly efficient guards (which Lin and Harden are) - are actually extremely difficult to find. Very few guards can produce at over 60% true shooting. The list is tiny right now.

Putting up 25 points is worthless if it consumes too many shots.

 

I hate googling health conditions. The worst possibilities are always the ones that come up.

 

You're right, it's not hard to get 25PPG, only about 5 people do it a season

 

Dang. Going to my first Rockets game of the year this Friday vs. the Nets. Would really like to see Harden out there.

 

McHale is itching to play Harden 40 minutes a game once he gets back....
