Go through TopCashBack.com for 4% back, and if you have a Discover card, you can get 5% back as well.

Basically makes it $409.50 in the end, not including taxes (I don't think Newegg charges tax, could be wrong) and/or shipping.

Please tell me how taking a day off after Thanksgiving, to spend the hard earned money you do make is hurting you?

But it's okay you are probably someone who could not enjoy anything you did happen to purchase because you would be so focused on just working, working, working, that you dont have the "time" to do anything but make more money.

Some people don't find the savings worth the headache, hassle, and time of fighting for items on Black Friday. People can become very primitive at those times to save a few hundred bucks. While people can claw and fight over things in store, I'll shop online and save just as much without the hassle.

Saw that earlier and was debating on purchasing, but apparently it's a re-branded Insignia. Still on the hunt!

Surface RT 16GB or iPad Air? Just needed for internet, email, youtube, and light use when I don't need to carry my laptop

I got the Surface RT 32GB w/ Keyboard cover when eBay had the deal for $199 a couple of months ago. Use it everyday in most of my classes since it has full Microsoft Office w/ OneNote. Has decent amount of apps and the ones you really need (Facebook, Netflix, etc.), but I know Apple has way more. It also runs flash on the full web browser unlike the iPad so that is a plus. Speaker is decent, could be better. Haven't really taken any photos with the camera yet (has front and back cameras). For your use, it would be just right; would definitely go with the Surface. You should be able to score the RT 32GB for $179 on eBay on Black Friday.

It's a great side tablet that almost doubles as an extra laptop with my Macbook Air Ultimate.

I honestly think it differs from people to people and situation to situation. College students that can likely buy multiple things and flip them down the line, it's fine to take the day off after Thanksgiving and stand in line.

However, I think if you're earning more than $250 a day (pre-tax) or about $60K annually assuming a 4 week vacation, the savings you're likely going to get isn't worth the vacation day.

This is especially true if you can use the extra vacation day for the flexibility of travel arrangements for your actual vacation (i.e. if having an extra vacation day means you can fly out on a Thursday instead of Friday, you could be looking at a couple of hundred bucks in savings when it comes to airfare (since I've found that weekdays are usually cheaper).

Having said that, some of my fond memories were actually standing in line with my buddies so if you have some good buds, and actual enjoy the whole Black Friday experience, I'd say go for it. Me, I hate the cold and will likely just do the shopping online.

Or maybe some people like the madness. I went one black friday in the late 90's. It was chaos. People were going crazy pushing people through the door trying to cut in line. There was no order just chaos.

Though I would post my store's black friday deals. After discounts, the clothes are really cheap and the shoes (though limited sizes) are a great deal.

The Class Room is casual menswear store in Rice Village.

    www.theclassroomshop.com

    Additional 40% off sale items
25% off all ties & scarves
Buy one get one half off shoes (which are already reduced)
    $20 The Class Room Tees
Free domestic shipping on all orders over $100

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

You're that Cabby/Cabbie? guy, ey? I remember "Cabby" introducing himself to me when I went into the store once. Forgot about it until a friend (UT connection I assume) posted an article about "Cabby" and the Classroom from Chron.com on Facebook. Small world.

I am NOT Cabby, but one of the other owners. Small world indeed. Funny I'm sure we know tons of people on here, just not by their username :)

Was just thinking that. I so want to buy ANYTHING, but nothing really intrigues me. Guess I'll just have to keep that money in the bank. GOsh this sucks.
