these are by far my favorite chips. very understated flavor unlike most salt and vinegar chips (my favorite type, but don't like the super strong ones like at jimmy johns)

sea salt and balsamic vinegar from kroger-

    1. shrimp chips
    2. kettle chips

I don't eat enough to narrow down a brand.

Who make the best Kettle Cooked?

    I remember Ms.Vickies was the ****!

Lay's Kettle cook is not that bad.

The worse kettle cook is H-E-B's.

Those are the best. I had a friend who always had them a few years back. Any clue where to find them?

For kettle-cooked jalapeno chips, my favorite brand is:

    2nd favorite is the aforementioned:

All other brands of kettle-cooked jalapeno chips fall woefully short.
Personally, Ms Vickie's is my least favorite. It's not that they taste horrible, just that the flavor/intensity is like a 0.5 on a scale of 10.

Bringing these back -- after decades of non-production -- was the worst thing that happened to me (can't stop eating them):

    From wiki:
"Doritos are sold in many countries worldwide in assorted flavors. They launched nationally in 1967, and proved successful, but additional market research revealed that many consumers outside the Southwest and West considered the chip to be too bland—not spicy enough for what was perceived as a Mexican snack. Frito-Lay therefore developed taco-flavored Doritos, which were introduced nationally in 1968 and were a tremendous success."

They sure don't look like it. I've been keeping an eye out for them ever since this thread but haven't seen them. I guess Central Market doesn't carry it.
