6-7 is good for 4th place right now in the East...

In the West 6-7 is good for 3rd worst team...

 

I think Miami is undefeated vs. the West and LeBron-led teams always seem to beat up the West, so there is that.

 

The only legit teams are Indy and Miami. They will clinch a top 2 seed before the all star break even starts on this pace.

 

Indy & Miami might very well be the two best teams in the NBA now. I know Indy has had a cake schedule but they are just killing teams. They made Minny look like amateurs with their suffocating defense in the 2nd half.

 

Funny, in Marc Stein's newest power rankings, there are only two Eastern teams in the top 15.

 

Atlanta should be in top 15, IMO, barely. I like where Atlanta is going as a franchise. They need a perimeter player bad though.

 

The 1st 2 rounds of the playoffs in the east will be a joke.

 

Heat and Pacers will be a good game

 

And only 3 of the top 15 players are in the east also (based on PER).

That should be good enough for the 3rd seed in the East this year. At first I thought they'd be a 6th seed or so but with the Bulls and Nets no longer being a factor they really should have their goals be home court in the first.

I guess Wall and Beal have not taken that leap...well Beal HAS taken a leap but Wall still more is expected from a #1 pick. It's about that time he leads this team brighter times.

The Cavs...meh, outside of Irving I never really believed in them.

Then you have Knicks, Nets COMPLETELY falling off and the Bulls without Rose again. Yep, the East is pretty bad this year.

 

If the Rockets take care of business tonight, the eastern conference will have 2 teams with a winning record

 

Eastern Conference: Where it is harder to tank than it is to make the playoffs.

 

Eastern Conference: Where 13th in the West would get you home court advantage.

 

Eastern Conference: Pay $100 million dollars for 3-10 teams.

 

Wow, 3rd best team in the East - Atlanta with a .500 record... what a disgrace!

 

In the last 12 days, the only Eastern conference teams to beat a Western conference team are Washington, Indy, and Miami. There will be at least 2 teams from the East with losing records in the playoffs, book it

 

I love how Toronto, with their 6-8 record, are ranked 4th only because they are the top ranked team in their division.

 

This has the potential to be historic. I think Washington will be 3rd looking at their talent and if Wall carries them. They will probably finish with a .500 record...man after that...Chicago too...yep maybe even 3 teams...

 

I fully expect Miami to win at least 70 games this year. Indy might reach that mark as well.
