Can you play 64 players on rush? I know rush is not designed to be played with 64 players but do we have an option to choose the number of players on it?

Yup, Ghosts is officially, to me, the WORST COD EVER.

And I know people here that right around every cod launch, but for me personally, its true, and I recommend that nobody buys it. It was on sale at amazon yesterday for $35, but even that's not worth it.

the game sucks guys. I hated mw3, but even that game is better and more fun than ghosts.

I'm sick of this weak ass lineup on the PS4. The xbone lineup isn't great either, but certainly better than the ps4s games (based on metacritic) and has more diverse games.

im not a fan of infamous either, so i guess the next game i have to look forward to is destiny's beta, which might be a flop.

    sigh.

to those thinking about getting a ps4, if you don't really want one that badly, just wait until next year when uncharted comes out. its not really worth it at this point.

I've got a PS4, but I've only played Resogun. I can't stand shooters on consoles because analog stick aiming frustrates me, and I don't play sports games. Still, Resogun is fun (and was free) and I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of input lag when using the Vita remote play.

Still waiting for some good non-shooter, non-sports games to come out.

you bought a ps4 when the only game you were interested in was....resogun?

lol. that game is fun i guess, but gets boring really quickly and is overrated (my opinion of course).

Not going to comment on the XBO's lineup, but I'm actually liking the PS4's lineup so far. I have tons of gameplay content to get through before I'll be done with it all.

I've said this before, relying on reviewers/Metacritic scores is a pretty horrible way to judge game quality. I'm enjoying the 56 and 67 rated games over the 84 rated one (and Forza 5 might as well be <50 instead of the 82 IMO).

It IS a launch lineup though, so I'd still be leery of recommending the system to others, especially certain types of gamers (I generally won't recommend either system for another year or so, even if I am really enjoying lots of games myself).

Nintendo is the only consistently launch-worthy console for gaming IMO. PS3 - you wanted Blu Ray? Okay that makes sense. But to expect amazing things from a PS4 or XBOX right off the bat seems a bit unfair.

True, and even Nintendo struggles a bit at times (though mostly with the handheld launches IIRC).

I think both launches are decent, and I'm pretty satisfied with what is on the horizon for the next 3-6 months or so. Of course, it will take some time for the big hitters to hit, but I'm looking forward to some games releasing later this year and early next year.

Um no. Based on metacritic, PS4's lineup is better. You think Xbox's lineup is more diverse? Um? This is based off what? Dead Rising or Forza? Are you really that into racing games? Or does Dead Rising do it for you? Cus I had no interest in either. Destiny will almost definitely not be a flop either, Bungie doesn't make bad games. Both of the launch lineups are pretty weak, and that isn't abnormal just don't think the grass is greener. Plus I'm seeing a LOOOOOT of complaints about the TV integration on Xbox, not to mention Kinect is still only responsive about 70% of the time.

Note: Yes, certain games are missing reviews like Battlefield4 on Xbox, or Lego Marvel on both. DC Universe is completely missing, and is a free MMO on PS4.

What do you play? There are good non-shooter/sports games.

Trine 2 is quite good (I have it for Wii U) if you like action RPGs
Lego Marvel Super Heroes is great for Marvel junkies, or people who like open world action games
    flower is quite unique
DC Universe if you like MMOs
    AC4 if you like action/adventure
    Injustice if you like fighting

Honestly, if you take a step back they really have the bases covered on most genres.

I bought my Wii U and only had Nintendoland, Super Mario Bros Wii U, and old Wii games to play for about 6-8 months. Admittedly Nintendoland is incredible (and obviously there are a lot of good games now), but I'd say these launch lineups are better than that one was. There's a looooot more to choose from.

That is true...as Im hearing much more positive stuff out of Ryse, despite the 61 metacritic and 68 IGN scores. Going to try to play it sooner than later.

As far as Forza 5, it's the best simulation racer that's ever been made...sure, microtransactions suck, but the actual racing part is above the competition. That might change with the future GT game for PS, but until that happens, Forza 6 might already be released at that point. In any case, the 82 is low considering that the graphics, frame rate, and AI are better than ever.

The graphics, frame rate, and AI in 2K14 is better than ever, but I think its 86 is much too generous (2K went with microtransactions too IIRC, though I also have other problems with it).

Don't make silly design choices to piss off gamers, and I'll be happy to love your game.

If the gameplay is as good as ever along with the graphics/frame rate, then it most certainly deserves the highest of praises bc the meat and potatoes are in the actual experience of playing the game...now, if major features are left out of the game, outside of the microtransactions, then that's reason to knock the game down....but the most important aspect of gaming is the experience/game play mixed with improved visuals.

I think in both 2K and Forza, the experience is worse because of microtransactions (or a game designed around them, leading to more "grinding"). You have to spend VC currency just to edit your lineups in 2K's MyGM mode. Or you have to spend hundreds of hours (or dollars) to unlock content that should be there to begin with (like previous games). I don't want to pay $60 to have a bunch of content (which used to be free/easy to obtain) locked out.

May just agree to disagree on that. Besides, the rest of the Internet is already having that debate.

    Whhaaaaa? Seriously?

I mean, it doesn't affect me right at this moment, as I haven't played an NBA 2K game in awhile... played it religiously every year through 2K9, but to me the controls got sluggish after that. I've been looking forward to trying them out again on a next-gen system... but man. Awful.

I *really* hate this stupid microtransaction-focused model that EA seemed to start with Ultimate Team. Sure, I can ignore it... but it clearly gets way more development time and patches than Career Mode does, and ever since they started Ultimate Team, you can no longer freely make custom teams or export Career Mode teams (which were relatively standard features in sports games for a long time). I was hoping NBA 2K would never go down this evil road EA started, but it sounds like not only did they do so, but they brought it into their Career Mode as well.

Ugh. Hope they come to their senses for NBA 2K15. Very much agree that after paying $60, one should not have to put up with that BS.

Im not saying microtransactions are awesome...Im saying that they dont necessarily interfere much with the core gameplay.

As far as Forza is concerned, here are the prices of the cars in the millions, outside of the F1/Racing Cars:

    Aston Martin One-77 - 2 million
    Bugatti Veyron - 2.4 million
    LaFerrari - 1.4 million
    Enzo Ferrari - 1.4 million
    Ferrari 1962 GTO - 6 million
    Ferrari 1957 Testa Rossa - 5.8 million
    Ford 1966 GT40 - 1.6 million
    McLaren P1 - 1.4 million
    McLaren F1 - 3.3 million
    Pagani Huayra - 2 million
Shelby Cobra 1965 - 5.7 million and 1.6 million (for a different version)

This is out of the 200+ cars. The majority of the racing and F1 cars are available to use in the arcade mode where it's just racing for fun...and a few of the above mentioned are also on that list of cars that are available to drive. In other words, out of 200+ cars, there are about 8 cars that you would have to "grind" for...or pay to get through microtransactions. Plus, any of the cars that are up to 2 million in cost, are pretty easily attainable as you go through the Career mode. After all, you enter different circuits where you have to race with mini coopers, coupes, etc... so it's not like you're only racing with high end cars. At the end of the day, you have to buy cars that are eligible for the races that you are entering, so it's almost not necessary to buy one of these 5 million dollar cars to get through the Career...and if you do get through even 50% of the career, then you will have the money to buy any car you want. Again, it's only about 5 cars (valued at 2 million or more) that you'd have to grind for if you dont want to participate in microtransactions...that hardly qualifies as a reason to downgrade a game that has 98% going right.

I may be easy to please, but I don't get all the hate for COD - Ghosts. Granted, I rarely play multiplayer....but I really enjoy the single player campaign.

NBA 2K14 is so incredible. Truly the best sports video game experience I've ever had.

Madden 25 - not so much. I guess I was expecting too much (and it doesn't help that the Texans are COMPLETE CRAP this season) but I just wasn't as impressed with the jump to next-gen as I was with NBA 2K14.

I also have AC4, but haven't played it yet. Anyone played it? Should I go back and play through the previous AC's before I attempt to play Black Flag?

    NFS is pretty frustrating =/
I got to the third tier pretty easily, but that's when it ended. I didn't fix up my car and kept losing races, until I started upgrading it a little. It feels like every race, I get so close to winning and a car comes out of no where. I don't have enough time to avoid it and I run into it and lose the race. I'm beginning to think it was purposely designed this way to cheat people from winning.

Just started playing it on PC. As long as you remember (or look up) the major plot elements, there is no need to play the old games.

    As for the game itself:
Does a great job of building upon the franchise's successes (Naval battles on steroids, ridiculously vast ocean with lots of random events, well designed levels focusing on stealth, parkour and sword fighting, historical figures and events, spectacular and convincing portrayal of the Caribbean during the 1700s, most of the game flows beautifully together)

Suffers from AC pitfalls we have come to expect (The past/present story feels disjointed and out-of-place, the franchise doesn't seem any closer to a final resolution/destination, same old tedious AC tasks, TONS of UI clutter)

It is without a doubt the greatest pirate simulator ever built; you are guaranteed to have fun. Just try not to get caught up in the fact that you typically have no idea what the hell is going on in the storyline (if you actually care about it).

From what I have read, you dont need to go back to previous AC's. Ive also heard a ton of people talk about how much fun AC4 is, specially compared to AC3. It's on my list of "to do".
