He was playing off the ball the whole freaking game (even though Harden was out),spent like 10 minutes on the bench in the first half, they run like 3 PnR's for him and he got benched in the 4th... and he was still OK with all that. The moment he stops being a p***y and starts fighting for what's rightfully his, is the moment this team becomes a true contender.
I can't believe Lin would send him to the bench after a few seconds of bad ranting. He has been consistently yelling at the refs very well for 5 straight games and one wrong statement, he is on the bench. He does not do this with other coaches. I've never see him do this with Sampson. Doesn't he know that Mchale wont be able to grow as a coach if he keeps benching him?
A great team player fights FOR the team, not fight with the team. He'll continue to play well until the coach has no reasons to bench him. Story of his life - he has to prove himself over and over again, and he always prevail.
See: Rubio Lowry Jennings Harden in the playoffs. thats off the top of my head..there are probably more. Except for Rubio (not yet at least ) none of those ended up well.
lol, rightfully his? Kind of a strange statement. I find it weird that Lin's playstyle is to go HAM in fourth. He is always way more aggressive. Has anyone ever interviewed him or asked him why he chooses to play this way? MAybe to get teammates involved early or something?
We need all those guys, that's why Harden is always telling Jeremy to be aggressive and to shoot the god damn ball (contrary to popular opinion)...
It's not about chucking the ball, it's more like attacking more often and looking to score more often.
