I wish we could pick up Boozer. Would not call him trash and if we get him off waivers that means we got him for a pretty good deal.

I know they don't have much flexibility, but if they are willing to be bold they can do some things...

Idk of they will amnesty boozer, but they were looking to trade him for bargnani... Not to mention he played quite good this year.

I think they are regretting Taj signing just from a flexibility stand point. They can find takers.

Although they were decent this year without rose, and adding Rose helps them alot (if healthy)...

Could/would they resurface talks with Toronto to shed some salary?

nate is gone- he will be overpaid by another team. He was playing as if he was up for a new contract, and he is. He was great during the playoffs, but he's not someone worth overpaying for.

The Gibson contract hurts, but they got Rose, Noah and Deng locked in- they're not in trouble unless Rose isn't Rose anymore.

If Rose takes cues from Lebron, you're right. I guess we'll see.

You think Rip would sign with the Rockets on the cheap?

Also: What can Chicago do to get a good SG to play with Rose?

I may be wrong, correct me if i am. But if Chicago amnestys boozer, they can then receive a player via SnT i believe.

    Amnesty boozer.

Trade Deng to Dallas for a SnT oj mayo and future picks.

Than SnT for millsap using Taj and hinrich...

    Rose/mayo/butler/millsap/Noah

You think Dallas would want Deng? And Utah Taj and Hinrich?

With rose coming back and looking pre injury form How do you them playing out this year. They havethe skills andtalent to reach the finals, but i currently like Indy to upset Miami more than Chicago.

I think they need a second pure scorer besides rose. A swap of Deng and Eric Gordon would do wonders for both involved. Or something similar

I like them the way they are right now. If Rose stays healthy and plays like his normal ballin Rose self, the team as a unit will be doing amazing and will reach the Finals this year. Rose IS the ingredient Bulls were missing last year. If Rose was healthy last year, I could see them beating Miami.

Bev/Lin vs Rose. Dwight/Asik vs Noah? CP/Harden vs Deng? Hmmm... 2014 Finals, I smell you.

But even when they had a healthy rose they were lacking a second true scorer. Rose can't do it alone. Boozer is ok, but they Nerf another option. They couldn't beast Miami than, they can't beat them now. Especially with Miami getting better since than.

Oj mayo, Granger, Gordon are just some options they could use that Deng could be traded for. Butler can replace Dengs role

To me, the Bulls were a very good team last year. With a 100% healthy Derek Rose, who I believe is a top 5 PG, they're just a somewhat better, very good team. He makes them better, but I don't think they wind up anywhere special by just adding him. They need another guy. Teams that have a PG as their far and away best player rarely win titles.

Well with the recent sad news of losing rose for the season to a meniscus tear. What do you think Chicago is going to, and what do you think they should do?

Me personally i say they blow it up and have a fire-sale. They don't have too great of a record yet so they can still do a decent tank job.

Personally the only player i keep is butler because of his youth and upside. Trading Deng should fetch a nice return. Boozer had been playing well so you can likely get something from trading him rather than amnesty. Noah, maybe you keep him, but he is likely to bring the best package back via trade.

If they target young players with upside, draft picks and expirings they could be in a good position this draft, especially with owning Charlotte 1st along with their own and any acquired via fire-sale. Next year the team could sign a few FAs with their newly acquired cap space, bring mirotic over from Europe.

    Thoughts?

Blow it up???.... not necessarily the term I would use, but I would look to prepare myself to contend for 3 to 5 years starting next year rather than the 1 or 2 years if they were to keep the same roster.

IMO, the first thing I would do is to see about moving Deng and Noah for young talent, and more flexibility.

Moving forward I would envision my young core would be Rose, Bulter, Gibson, hopefully a player like Asik coming back in the trades, and a top flight wing player like maybe Gallinari. Someone that is along those lines in their career.

Also anything they can get for Boozer at this point would be a bonus although with his contract, it would be hard to accomplish a trade of that magnitude. Deng, and Noah are the two big vet pieces they should be able to rebuild with, and set themselves up for 2014 and beyond with Rose, Butler, & co.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Trading Deng, Noah and possibly boozer is blowing up your core. You can possibly land top 7 in the draft if you can trade that core for expirings and picks and young upside players.

They would than have their pick along with the charlotte pick around 12-16 likely. Add any other picks acquired and they can do some serous damage thus off season during the draft and the new cap space and flexibility.

At this point your just hoping rose can come back an above average player let alone a franchise/all-star level player. They can bring over mirotic next year, along with butler and the new draft pick selections makes the future a tad bit brighter. That's not mentioning any young players acquired via trade.

The only thing to talk about the Bulls these days is whether they should start rebuilding.

I want Taj Gibson. I've repeated many times that I'd prefer a perimeter stud over a stretch 4 in any Asik trade. But Gibson is perfect here. He can be the backup 5 and he can play PF. His defense is amazing and his offense... well, we have players on offense. Although any Asik for Gibson trade likely becomes a 3-way trade unless they're dumping Noah too.

If Chicago wants to rebuild, that's the player on their roster I hope Morey aims after.
