Season's dead, might as well look ahead.

The rotation brings us the AFC North and the NFC East.

Our two strength of schedule games will come from the 3rd or 4th place finishers from the AFC East/West.

    Away:
    Dallas
    NYG
    Pittsburgh
    Cleveland
    Indy
    Tennessee
    Jax

    Home:
    Washington
    Philly
    Baltimore
    Cinci
    Indy
    Tennessee
    Jax

    Undetermined/SOS:
    NYJ/Miami/Buffalo
    Oakland/SD

    Yay?

They will lose that AFC west road game, no matter who the opponent is.

Other than that, the Steelers won't be as bad as they were this year, the Bengals have no reason to be bad, and Baltimore has a core that could go from being really bad to really good any given year. And Cleveland is just like Houston... minus the recent playoff runs.

The NFC East is very similar to the AFC North... a bunch of teams with talent that could be good if things fall into place, or could be mediocre.

Wow, schedule looks really damn good to me.
Definitely can make playoffs next year if we have a good offseason.

NOT done, yet. Even if we lose out, the opponents might change.

The only thing that changes are the two strength of schedule games.

I thought the divsion winners have to play the other AFC division winners. We will be avoiding new england, denver and who ever wins from the AFC north. Pretty good for us because Indy will have to prove that they can beat those teams.

Pretty easy schedule as far as I am concerned.

No. You still play one division entirely (division winners and all... next year, the Texans will play the Bengals who will likely win that division).

There are only TWO games that get determined by where you finish.... and you play the corresponding teams in the two other AFC divisions that you're not already playing.

So, yes... by finishing in 3rd or last, the Texans will avoid the Broncos and Patriots next year since they're set to play the AFC North.

Texans improve greatly to 9-7. McNair gives the coach a 10 year extension.

So long, non-NFL Network primetime games... (although, ESPN might sniff the tires of the Dallas game).....

    4-12 if we barely improve.

6-10 if we improve a little more.

8-8 if we improve more than a little more.

10-6 if we improve a lot.

12-4 if we really, really improve.

Just when we started getting network games, this season happens. We were getting Thursday night games, Monday night games and Sunday night games. We were even getting Tuesday Night games and there are no football games on Tuesday :(

All those teams will be getting better or at least mediocre next season. Stronger SOS than this year.
