ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Grizzlies 11/25/2013

I want to go to this game so bad tomorrow. I think I am going to skip and catch the one in January though.

 

The only thing that bothers me is that it's at Memphis. Some Grizz (Koufos) will probably have a career game for Gasol at home. Could be a trap game. Sure would be nice for our 3s to fall again.

 

Sit out as long as you need to, Harden. We have too much talent on this team, no time for guys who will be out there chucking shots instead of driving to the hoop because their speed is only at 80%. Same goes for Garcia, if you're still under the weather from flu then practice until you can make 3pters again before asking to get back in the game.

The wierd thing is that we really do need Parsons to play 40+MPG when these guys are sucking.

 

And Parson stop playmaking attempt.

 

If we take our pts/g + their opp pts/g and averaged that Rockets should be at 103 versus Grizz at 100. So narrrow win.

But with Gasol out - I hope we grill ourselves some grizzlies! Go Rockets!!!

This is a good matchup for Dwight.

You mean offense or defense?

 

Without Gasol, I don't see Memphis containing Howard. If our outside shooters are on, this should be a good outcome for the Rockets. May be close though.

 

Koufos is a defensive center like Asik, he's not a jumpshooter, so Dwight can stay in the paint. Grizzlies aren't a good 3-point shooting team, they get most of their points at the rim, FT's, and putbacks off of rebounds.

If we take care of the ball, and control the boards on defense, we should be able to sneak out with a win.

 

We'll shoot the bears from distance. They won't know what hit'em. :grin:

 

Watch for the trap..........it's a trap. Must stomp on them early and often and don't let up in the fourth.

 

Pumped for this game!! I've got courtside seats near mid court. And I will be posting a thread with them all.. My prediction? Linsanity comes out! Rockets win!

It'll be a close game. If we relax because Gasol's out, they'll kick our butts into the Big Muddy. By the way, I've eaten at Neeley's. They serve the best grizzly bear ribs ever. Just ask them for some. :grin:

 

Looking for a good game from Z-Bo (he's on my fantasy squad, thank goodness for the Gasol injury!) but a solid Rockets victory. 95-86

 

^ oh and Howard is on my squad so fingers crossed for him having Olajuwon numbers as against Dallas

 

We will probably play the twin towers some tonight. Memphis plays slow and Asik does a good job with man defense on ZBo, which should free Dwight up to play the weak side and shut down the paint. I see 25 min for Omer tonight.
