    Fantastic chance Sumlin goes pro
Guaranteed Johnny Football goes round 1.

I'm not saying this would happen.

If it was offered to you, what would you say?

Or would you want Gruden (brother) and Bridgewater?

Pick 2 of the top 4

I don't think Manziel can hold up to the beating. I'm not sold on scramblers being able to stay healthy. But who says they are a package deal?

Yes, to Sumlin. No, to Johnny Football.

Put Kevin with a strong defensive coordinator and it's on.

We need another stud offensive lineman with that high pick.

Take the QB in the 23 - 38 range.

Not saying its impossible for them to have success in the NFL together, but it would be almost unprecedented that a rookie coach and rookie QB succeed at this level with the same franchise.... the closest comparison would be Jimmy Johnson/Troy Aikman, and I don't see either coach or player having the pedigree that those two had coming into the NFL.

No way Sumlin goes pro...maybe in a few years, but absolutely not for the time being.

    With your questions in mind...

I know people might disagree with me on this but....

I say you play for the #1 pick now and trade Foster in the off season for more draft picks, maybe even Andre too. If they are going to start over with a QB i think the entire OFFENSE should start over. Also, i would rather have money to sign J.J. Watt. I like him more than Foster. And with Andre i think they owe it to him to move him if they are starting over unless he wants to stay.

Now what they use that #1 pick on is a good question.

It all depends on what the new coach they bring in wants. If the new coach likes Keenum and lets Keenum play in a spread offense then, you could trade the #1 pick for several other picks like the Rams did with Washington(RG3).

I think any of your options would be a breath of fresh air. Kubiak has had his chance(s)

Nobody is trading first through 3rd round draft picks for ANY of our players, with the exception of Watt. Also, you won't have to move anybody to re-sign Watt. There won't be much of a bidding war when the Texans extend him before anybody else can negotiate anything.

Again, this is not the NBA. You can't just flip veterans for picks/players without the salary cap ramifications that usually prevents those types of moves.

Like someone said, you can't just trade guys like that in the nfl

Not to mention, there is no reason to do that. In today's nfl, you can turn a team around in 1 season with the right coach and front office

    No. no. no. no.

With the pick we will almost certainly have, I do NOT want to take manziel. too deep of a draft at QB. Maybe if we were slotted 14-18.

    And, I dont want Sumlin.

    Nick, Rhino;

Sorry, not entirely familiar with how a trade like this would work in the NFL. The Texans couldn't get a "godfather deal" first rounder for Arian, like the Browns did for Trent? Is this because Arian makes more money or what? I know that Harvin and Revis signed new deals after their trades.

Manziel is 6'1 I would rather stay with Case Keenum. And no to Sumlin too. I want an experience coach and a Peyton Manning type quarterback.

Manziel may make a few splash plays but he won't survive long in the NFL, especially with his frame which will come out smaller than listed when the combine rolls along.

All that backyard football may work in college but everyone is bigger, faster, and stonger in the NFL

Yes, Arian makes more money. Also, every big contract has parameters in place which force a huge cap hit on the team trading said player... which makes it impossible financially to make it work.

Also, the reason why the Browns Trent Richardson trade was big news was because trades like that NEVER happen... and now we're seeing that the Colts should have never given up a first round pick for an unproven RB.

Even if the contracts and cap would be no issue... what team would give up a first day pick for a RB that has broken down over the last two years following a heavy workload? RB's are the most overrated position in the NFL in terms of the fact that good teams aren't wasting high picks on them.
