Alabama did so well at stopping him on try #1 and try #2.

Is the theory now that if a college player ever has a bad game, they will suck in the NFL?

Maybe maybe not but I agree w the assessment that Manziel will struggle in the pros. How do people feel about Aaron Murray in the 2nd? Torn ACL but I've slways liked that guy.

Manzel is not an accurate qb, he takes off to run almost as a natural reaction... he is a poor mans Vick

If a team gives the texans a redskins to rams for rg3 offer the texans should certainly pull the trigger. It's clear this team has multiple holes.

Crazy how such an inaccurate QB is top 10 in the nation in completion percentage and top 5 in TDs and QB rating.

I think Manziel's problem in the pros will be injuries. He has potential to be very good and his improvising ability is getting to be more and more useful in the NFL - but it will only work until he inevitably gets leveled by his style of play.

didnt Kevin Sumlin coach case keenum and he put up passing stats as well... its the system that manzel is in, he is a 6'1 small running qb who has never run a pro-style offense, and throws wobbly passes lol.. good luck to any team that drafts him

By that logic RGIII was a system QB too.

First Schaub, then Yates, and now Keenum throws away a game. I'm sure Schaub sucks, and that Yates is a career backup, and Keenum is looking more mediocre every game, but they all play under Kubiak.

RG3 was an accurate qb in college, and drew Aaron Rodgers comparisons for his arm talent.... RG3 put up insane passing numbers.. he can make all the throws..

    Robert Griffin draft profile

    6-2 223

Draft board overall prospect rank: #2

Draft board overall quarterback rank: #2

    Overall rating: 98 (elite prospect)

    Positives

    · Amazing athlete

    · Holds high school state records in hurdling

    · Michael Vick esque showing at The Combine (including 4.41 40)

    · Intelligent kid who graduated Baylor in 3 years, working on masters

    · High character, well brought up

    · Excellent leader who led the rebuilding of a program

    · Charismatic face of the franchise

    · Cerebral quarterback

    · Deserving Heisman winner as a junior (over Andrew Luck)

    · Excellent production as a junior, better than Andrew Luck (72.4%, 10.7 YPA, 37/6)

    · Won a lot of shoot outs

    · Won a lot of games his team had no business winning

    · Defining win against Oklahoma

    · 10-3 record as a junior

    · Amazing deep ball arm strength

    · Cannon arm

    · Can make every throw

    · Quick release

    · Succeeded in spite of a terrible offensive line (27 sacks in 2011)

    · Able to evade pressure and scramble for big gains (over 600 yards rushing in all 3 years as a starter)

    · Looks to throw first, run as a 2nd option

    · 3 year starter

    · Hard worker who improved his throwing ability mightily from 2010 to 2011

    · Gunslinger mentality (this can be a positive and a negative)

    --------------------

    Negatives

    · Lack of Pro Style experience

    · Only one year of elite production

    · Was a mere 2nd/3rd rounder before this season (one year wonder?)

    · Lacks elite accuracy (in comparison to Andrew Luck)

    · Lacks elite decision making (in comparison to Andrew Luck)

    · A tad undersized at 6-2

    · Smaller frame (6-2 223) could lead to injuries at next level given how much he runs

    · Injury history (missed most of 2009, also suffered a concussion last season)

    · Needs to learn to feel the pressure better

    · Holds the ball weird

    Comparison: Poor man’s Aaron Rodgers

Case threw the game away by putting two balls right on the money and having his receivers horribly misplay them both?

I remember being up here in Lubbock and Texas Tech played a bowl game against the California Golden Bears. The Bears were #4 in the nation at the time and all indications were that Tech was going to get slaughtered. Tech beat them 45-31 and I distinctly remember telling my son at the time, "Damn, their quarterback sucks. Just goes to show that some QBs are not made for the NFL."

    That quarterback was Aaron Rodgers.

Keenum threw it away by drawing up a horrible stale gameplan, failing to motivate the entire team to play with intensity, and personally causing the offensive line to play sloppy and half hearted all game.

I expect much more from a 5 game starter in this league.
