Harden just sit till your 100% or as close as possible. We aren't going anywhere without him. We need him later in the season

Not sure why you've got to be that harsh with the guy. It's a fair opinion though maybe not stated in the best way. I agree with the sentiment though. Harden's defense has been atrocious and whether its because of laziness or a foot injury I think it's reasonable to expect him to be mature enough and enough of a leader to insist the coach sit him until he can be effective on both sides. To not do so, even though he might think he's sacrificing himself for the team or not showing weakness to the coaches or fans is only doing the team a huge disservice. If a player is not healthy enough to not be a liability on defense I think it's fair to expect that player (especially your leader) to swallow his pride and sit down until he can actually play.

I forgive you, Harden, for your poor defense. Hope you get well soon and be a better player.

Kinda makes you wonder why he was averaging 39+ mpg. Hopefully his 3P% will return back to normal after he heals, his shot did seem a bit flat this year.

Get them feet right James. Just get 'em right. Don't come back till you're healthy.

I hope he sits out till he is fully healthy and hope he stops playing hero ball and play team ball instead.

Let's not forget that McHale during his playing days ignored express doctors' orders to stop playing on a broken foot and played on it anyway - it ended up shortening his career and gave him a noticeable limp for the rest of his life. With this old school mentality, I'd bet that the concept of limiting his young stars' minutes or trying to preserve their bodies is probably both foreign and offensive to him.

Then <STRIKE>Morey</STRIKE> Leslie Alexander needs to sit him down and talk to him about how important Harden is to the long term future of this franchise and how crucial it is to save him for the playoffs both this season & in the future.

I thought it was just a bruise on his foot. It's taking very long to heal ... and this is supposed to be the "easy" part of our schedule with 2-3 days in between games @ Toyota Center.

The problem with foot injuries is that they take a longer time to heal and tend to linger more than similar injuries in other parts of the body, due to being a high impact region (not to mention Harden probably aggravated the injury by continuing to play). "Bruised foot" also can mean many different foot injuries since all that means is that there is some internal bleeding -- most likely there's also irritation and inflammation of soft tissue, nerves surrounding the bones, and/or ligaments, which heal at different rates.

Believe it or not, i think Lin could carry that load. Actually, he can score Harden like numbers in a lot of those games. Get Brewer healthy to back him up and we still got us a good team. I'm not worried about Harden being out as much as some.

Not a bad deal even though I know you are just kidding. Melo ISo> harden ISo. Melo can score anywhere whether its a quick jump shot, underneath, 3 pointer, you name it. If I want a last shot type of person, melo had way more game winning shots than harden.

The Lin fans don't bug me, it's the trolls that I'm afraid of. I wonder what they're planning now.

Lin can definitely keep us in the running but if we want to win in the playoffs we'll definitely need Harden back.

Me too, I think if the guys step up, they could go a couple of weeks without Harden. We need him more for the Playoffs than regular season. Keep him 100% healthy.

Agreed. Most important is that Harden get FULLY healthy for the playoff run. We can do without him especially in the early part of the season. When he comes back, maybe we should play him with a minute limitation like what Golden State did with Bogut. I think max 30min. a game until we are confident he is fully recvered. We don't want our young franchise player to get permanently injured at this stage of his career and our dreams for a chip.
