The thing is we have enough extra second rounders with the Robinson trade and already drafted prospects in Europe that we could easily entice a team to do a sign-and-trade if Deng were to move elsewhere after this season as long as that team was outside our division. That would be a decent-sized TPE or possibly the opportunity to work out a multi-team trade bringing us in a key piece.

Why the hell would we trade Asik for just Robin Lopez?

They better throw in their 1rd pick or CJ McCollum.

    My prediction.

    Lopez, Crabbe, 1st for Asik

Lin, first rockets and first portland for Rondo.

Rondo isn't even healthy yet. Look at rosé he stay out a year and he still got injury after supposedly recovering. If rondo is health maybe it a good risk.

We really need a PG who control the ball and the rhythm of the game, and this is so a tipical Morey move, like the Lowry/Harden trade.

We have to package 1 of our pg's with Asik, we have 3 solid pg's with Lin/Bev/Brooks.

And I think we may have found our future pf with T.Jones.

agreed send bev or brooks and asik to bulls for deng and wrap it up

we pick up a back up center when one is waived and boom

bulls need a pg something bad now if they hope to remain a playoff team

I like the way you think.:)

Also Kwame Brown is a FA, sign him until a better center gets waived.

    pg:Lin/Brooks
    sg:Harden/Garcia
    sf:Deng/Parsons
    pf:Jones/Dmo
    c:Dwight/Brown

    That wing depth!

After watching a few Bulls' game I think they could really benefit with someone like Lin (a poorer version of Derrick Rose according to some). Rose's whole offense is attacking the basket, Lin could do this and actually give them better range and floor spacing. So if we trade for Deng, wouldn't be surprised if they asked for Lin instead of Brooks/Bev.

    That's actually a good point.

The Bulls really lack scoring and play making with the absence of Rose. For all his strengths, Bev lacks creativity in creating offense. His passes are usually straight line kick outs or skip passes to the perimeter.

One thing the Bulls don't need is more defensive specialists. What they really need is a creative combo guard that can pick up the scoring slack and distort opposing defenses.

I suspect it will depend on what PG's are on the market.

Portland met with Asik before he signed with the Rockets. Not surprising that they have interest in Asik still. But I doubt a deal would be made with them. Morey is reported to want an "impact player" or a decent 1st round pick. I doubt the Blazers would give up such a player and it looks like their pick is going to be pretty low.

One guy on that Roster I like is Wes Matthews. Strong defender and shooter, and can do some other things, too. But like I said, Portland needs him, too.
