    Who cares about that:rolleyes:

Just watch they're games. Harden's a scorerer who gets the majority of his points from drawing fouls. He's a turnover prone ball handler and non existent defensively. George's not as good at scoring but he's by FAR the superior defender. Its almost comical comparing them on defense

Go look who leads the league in FTs made and turnovers....Every great scorer in this league gets a lot of their points from the FT line and turns the ball over a fair amount.

Hardens not as good on defense but he's by FAR the superior scorer. It's almost comical comparing them on offense.

You just called us homers for saying we'd take Harden over George, then I link you to unbiased fans taking Harden over George and it's irrelevant? It depends on what you value more, personally I think an extremely efficient first option is more valuable than an elite perimeter defender and average scorer.

i think if we are going to compare Rockets' players to players who are still in the playoffs, Parker/Harden would be much more interesting.

George/Harden is so much about upside. We are talking about a guy who's really where Harden was last year development-wise. George is amazing defensively but he clearly lacks aggression or confidence in some games and he's a pure joy to watch in others. We'll have a much better picture at this time next year. Right now, this is kind of like taking Harden from last year's playoffs and comparing him to Derrick Rose.

The Paul George splooge-fest is quickly closing in on the Steph Curry splooge-fest.

or maybe a better analogy would be Harden and Westbrook after last year's playoffs.

So far this season anyone would easily pick George. Funny that everyone made fun of me for suggesting that on page 13 ;)

    A.k.a. CCM721 , J Sizzle , Panda23

While its true that right now Paul is another level above Harden, I don't expect him to sustain what he's doing offensively. I think he's going to regress.

George and its not even close. Complete all round player. Elite wing D with imrpoving and great O. Clutch

Haren - A total negative on D not even average. Anti clutch as it comes and turn over prone

Not blaming you for taking Harden over George, but you can't say it's comical comparing them on offense. George is averaging like 24 a game. And he does it while also playing elite defense on the other team's best player.

I made this comment back in May on page 5 and an anon posted on my profile harassing me and calling me a "LOF with no loyalty to the Rockets".

    I "may" be a LOF, but I'm objective and know what's good/bad/ugly ;).

I agree that I would take George right now. But I think it´s fair to name other Harden advantages over PG. Harden is a better ballhandler, is better creating game and better going to the line. Clutch? I think clutchness is often very based on your whole team situation... It´s of course easier to be clutch when your team is elite on the other side. When your team is able to make some stops and everybod knows it, it transfers confience and calm to your go-to-player. And also, must be commented the fact that Frank Vogel is helping much more to Paul Goerge than McHale is helping James Harden. McHale relies on simple ISO; Indiana uses different offensive sets from where George can operate more confortable (with less traffic, a better initial position, and opponent defense already moved).

So it is a concurrence of different factors. All in all I think Harden is a more talented offensive player; and George a much better defensive player. That´s why today he is the best player between the two. Hopefully Harden can improve his defensive level in the future.

I am not too optimistic about it, honestly. His vices and bad habits look truly worrying. Body language is terrible.

I love Harden and I am glad we got him. But Paul George is way better than Harden all around and his offensive game is more complete because he actually has a mid range game.

They both have completely different body types and George has an extra 3 inches on Harden as well. So that will contribute to the type of style that Harden is limited to. Paul George has more of a Kobe Bryant body type and James Harden has a Mario Elie body type.

Nonetheless, I haven't seen any improvement in Harden's game over the summer I am very disappointed in that. He needs to stop the partying if he wants to really improve and not be known as the guy you gets a bunch of calls and 15 free throws a game.

The scary part is with limited offensive skills he still scored 26 points a game. He shoots threes, makes layups and hits free throws. Imagine if he actually developed an all around offensive game this guy could score easy 32 points a game over the course of a season.

    "...average scorer... "?
    Who is an average scorer?
Paul George is averaging almost 25 points per game.

Yup, there are people out there who are obsessed with Lin fans (who's stalking who now lol...).

The "sad" thing is it was worth only 1 point . Some of my other rep points come in 2's and 5's :p.

Paul George now is a true star. if he make to final this year then he is a superstar. Pacers now is really a big threat to Lebron and I think they will get over top this year.
While Harden regress to Haren. I dont even want to mention it. what a load of crap, max contract still 4 years to go. freakin Morey consistently get it wrong on future prospects of first round picks, even it's thunders pick and have played 2 years.
