You do know that these type of players play the 'wing' position right? They can play sf just as easy as sg. I don't know how long you have between watching the rockets but Courtney Lee played the majority of his minutes for us at the 3. He was or best individual defender, and still is a great defender. He has a great 3pt shot, currently over .400. Not to mention Garcia hasn't exactly been lighting it up either. He would take Garcias minutes and likely a few more. Doesn't take any minutes from Parsons and harden who will both get 30+ minutes a game.

    What?

Paul George being better than Durant is not that crazy. Like I said if you like scoring than hey Durant is probably the guy you go for, but me I like an all around player and Paul George is probably the 2nd best all around player in the NBA behind Lebron.

George will win a championship for Durant.

So what about Westbrook... You forget George is on the floor with Roy and David West, and Stevenson has been playing very good... He's on a good TEAM with a great coach and GM. But with that said _ George took 26 shots to score 35 points against NYC and it took an overtime period to do it. And Deng and Jimmy took turns punking him in his own house _ the kid went 3-14 for 12 points. People call Harden a ball hog but George shoots more than Harden. Guys like Durant (and Harden) make it easier for their teammates on offense (Parsons was garbage in that Philly game without Harden)... George has West, Roy, and Stevenson and that team still struggles to score.

George is an excellent player but he's not even close to Durant's level.... And you talking about how Durant did in the playoffs without Westbrook... Look how George did in game 7 against Miami. 2-9 for 7 points. Puuleeezzzz...!!!! Couldn't stop anybody either.

Playoffs are a longggggg grind, we would have a CF party if we ever saw the WCF and they almost made it out, he guarded Lebron that whole series and took him to 7 games, points don't always matter it's 2 sides to basketball... and Paul is young Lebron had to leave the cavs to make all that happen

LeBron had virtually no talent with him in Cleveland... Freaking Mo Williams was the 2nd best player on the team. And LeBron made it to the Finals with that team. George hasn't. George is a very good player _ star player, but his team is just as good. He has a top center and an all star caliber power forward and other good players around him. And Chicago gave Miami a good series too (Wade was hurting)...

And if the goal is just to make it to the CF _ CONGRATULATIONS... Of course there are two sides of the ball but if you can't score you can't win.

    Westbrook/Ibaka>West /Hibbert

Stop talking about team support because Durant has more talent around him.

You specifically brought up Durant with Westbrook being out (read your post). And Ibaka isn't as good as West and Hibbert. And Indiana has a MUCH better coach. But if OKC meets up with Indiana in the finals _ Durant and Westbrook getting rings... Same with San Antonio and Golden State or whoever makes it out the west if Indiana makes it out the east.

But if you believe George is better than Durant (who just had to take 20 shots to score 27 points to beat Boston tonight) ---> OKAY... Lol...

Problem is that two of those three don't play a lick of defense ... One of Lin or Harden has to go in favor of a strong defensive player who can knock down shots.

I have to disagree with you that Parsons doesn't fit the description - He's been an above average defender and decent shooter since he got here.

Will he stay ?? Good question but my magic 8 ball says all sources say its likely based upon how well he plays with Howard.

As for T.Jones , the jury is still out as to whether he is the answer at the PF spot.

The biggest issue this team has now is defensively in its back court. Offensive players consistently blow by both Harden and Lin ....

Solving issues in next years draft does nothing for a team who's got championship aspirations this season. They didn't hand Howard $88m to win later (well , both now and later).

Aaron Afflalo and Courtney Lee and Iman Sumpert all fit the bill for combo guards capable of knocking down shots and playing strong defense.

Asik will be moved .... but the next shoe to drop is Lin as he and Harden just cant coexist in the same back court because of their defensive liabilities. One or the other has to go .... it wont be Harden. (Im not hating on Lin , just telling it how it is)

It might be easier to get Lin's replacement in exchange for Asik than it would be for Lin himself .... being you are trading such "similar players".

No...... Durant is the better all around player and its not close enough for discussion. I'm ending this convo because you're reducing my IQ...

Yeah whatever, if the season ended today Paul George would be the MVP. Keep drinking the Kevin Durant kool aid, just know that Paul George has arrived on the scene and he is coming for Lebron.
