Just a bit curious as to what you guys feel about Jeff Green? Do you think Boston would trade him for Asik and a draft pick? If we could only give up Asik for Green and are able to keep Parsons, how effective do you think a lineup of Beverley, Harden, Parsons, Green, Howard would be? Considering the fact that our offense would definatly open up with Green being able to shoot the 3 but also being able to pull down some boards as well and guard small forwards. So far on the seasons he's averaging 14 points and 4 rebounds and doesn't seem like a player that needs the ball in his hands to stay happy. I think this team would be hard to stop especially if we're able to hold on to T Jones (which I doubt) and J Lin.
Not a traditional 4 but at 6'9 240 I'm sure he can play it. If not, keep Jones at the 4 and make Green our 6th man.
in the playoffs people that play out of position like that are exposed. especially the tweeners that try to play the 4 and aren't strong enough.
Can I ask why you feel that way sir? I'd rather have him than an Asik who doesn't want to back up Howard.
I think Green did a nice job on Lebron. But like I said, if he cant it's not like we can switch the lineup around.
He may not be a traditional 4 or whatever but that's not the point I'm trying to make. I just believe he'll definatly help with our perimeter defense (which is not so good) at whatever position he plays while still being a legit scoring threat that can keep the offense flowing.
The team just has to want to play defense its all effort and for some reason early this season they don't want to play D they want to outscore people
Green would be an upgrade over Garcia and Casspi. That makes him worth acquiring. However, I don't think it's worth getting him if we don't get a backup C as well.
Big fan of Jeff Green. For whatever reason, he's always seemed like a guy that I would one day see playing for the Rockets. Granted, I had a similar feeling about Danny Granger as well.
What would it take for Morey to be dumb enough to trade for Jeff Green??? He's a solid player at times, but can be very frustrating, and isn't going to help this team in any way I can see. Does many of the same things Parsons does, but not nearly as good at getting others involved. Jeff Green just isnt worth what Morey would have to trade to get him and that salary pretty much concludes all future major trades Morey could make... you get Jeff Green, you better pray to the man upstairs that he's the difference maker.
