Beverley has the ability to apply high pressure to the ball-handler and still stay in front of his man. Lin is a much bigger player, at a genuine 6'3, 200 pounds, and he struggles with his lateral foot speed and staying in front of genuinely quick guards, then again, you can't defend elite pgs 1v1 anyway
Harden is the best player on the team an actual all-star, a max salary player, and arguably the best shooting guard in basketball. That you would compare Jeremy Lin to that is why you're preposterous. Jeremy Lin is a third option on offense at best on this team and gets lit up on defense by D Leaguers the likes of James Anderson. When you get tuned up for 36 points on 75% shooting by a player with a career scoring average of 4 then you kind of suck, a lot, on defense. Join us all in reality any time now.
Anderson didn't score all of those 36 points on Lin, just like Ellis didn't score all of his 37 points on Bev. The reality is that Lin doesn't suck on D, yea he makes mistakes sometimes but overall he is a pretty good defender. Bev gets beat a lot because he is to far up on his guy pressuring the ball. I like Bev but you didn't see me or others calling him out because his man scored 37 points on us yesterday. To call Lin out on Anderson is just wrong, in that game Lin only had two bad defensive possessions on Anderson. It seems like if you're going to run a player down that you should at least know what your speaking of.
Rubbish. I like Harden but Harden gets lit up just as much as Lin, if not more. This is getting really old now. James Anderson is much bigger than Lin and we got a mismatch that game. A smart coach would have put Brewer on Him seeing as he was shooting lights out. Oh well, thats another topic for another day.
YOu can't just ignore their roles. YOu dont think Lin can average Bledsoe's number if he was in Phoenix? 20 points 6.8 assists? Bledsoe is a turnover machine, at about 4 a game, but hey we only care about Jeremy Lin's turnovers. And Conley is shouldering more of the scoring load, he's a career 12.5 ppg guy! And his 3 has always been terrible.
except Haddadi is clearly garbage so there's no argument. I think most people even the LOF recognize at this point he's slightly above average with a chance to be be better. Steph Curry is a shooting guard who has to pass the ball because Klay Thompson cannot distribute and doesnt have great handles. I wouldnt even consider Curry a pg, he just plays the position.

When a any player has been playing at the level Lin has been playing at this year, I think it's just ridiculous not to give him some playing time. Lin didn't play well in the minutes he had but he didn't play horrible. Lin had 4 assist and 0 turnovers in 17 minutes, and that for the most part that was when he was playing with bench players that were sucking. One of the five shots was a two for one 3 that had to be taken quick. Another on of his 3's was at the end of the shot clock when the ball was passed to him. I'm not saying he deserves an excuse for missing those shots, but it's not like he was just jacking up bad shots. Besides the bad D that the Rockets played, I think one of the main reasons they lost is because of the ball movement in the second half. The Rockets only scored 16 points in the fourth quarter. Lin needed to be in the game moving the ball, getting assist scoring or whatever, 16 points in a fourth quarter should never happen with the team we have. Nailed right on. Exactly. Lin treatment is disgraceful. Beverly a guy who earn less then 1mil is getting more min then a 8mil guy. FFS Mchale needs to make it worth or get the sack. Really can't believe Lin has not ask for a trade yet.
Beverly played the 4th quarter with Harden in the Maves game. The rockets stunk up the floor. Sometime beliveling is seeing.
Yes. This is the strangest offense I have ever seen. There is no structure. Who ever grabs the ball in the backcout bring it up. Even if they don't have the ability to develop plays or very good ball handling skills. Chaos on the field.
Bev did not play well in the Mavs game. His efficency score for that game was 4. Although it was higher than Lins ,it is considered a poor efficency score. Clutch stated that Bev had a silent, but terrific game. I respect Clutch, he is the father of the clutch fans and has an experts eye when evaluating BB situations. However, he was way off with this call and I feel his influence is greatly impacting the opinion of others on this forum. Objective data is needed to ground and stabalize one's subjective opinion. ( Clutch said this on a Clutchfans tweet.) I assume it was him. If not, my apologies. However, some other influential individual associated with clutchfans teeted it.
Why does this have to be repeated. Lin was injured during the playoffs. If you expect him to play well when he is injured. You must see him as having tremendous ability, as injuries decrease performance. By requireing such great feats from Lin you are revealing your great admiration for his skills. BTW Parker said in an interview that Lin reminds him of when he was young. Look it up . I am sure it is on youtube.
That certainly would be a good option, and it was done repeatedly last year , even when Lin was playing well.
Your bias is showing. Casspi is still a friend of LIn's and certainly not a foe. Casspi got selfish and did not do right by the Rockets. Casspi has difficulty on the open court. Why would you interpret Casspi's desire to display his skills as hostile? He wants to remain on the Rockets, so he takes charge to be noticed. It was selfish, the two are not the same. Some self reflection on your attitudes is needed if you are to be more accurate in your interpretations.
