All combined with Harden's D. If he gave 60% effort on D we would probably won them all.

So if it weren't for Coach we'd have the most wins in the entire NBA

is that what y'all are saying?

McHale's ceiling is a motivator on the side. He cannot adjust during games, nor can he communicate effectively with a purpose. It's obvious when he's mic'd up that he is lost. Bickerstaff and Sampson run this team. I'm thankful that we at least have them. McHale on his own would be ten times worse. I'm never a hater of anything Rockets related, but I just know that this team would be so, so much better with a stronger coach. McHale is a nice guy, but he is deficient and subpar as a head coach in the NBA

This is what I had been saying. I said that in another thread that McHale is best described as a player manager and not a coach. He does a great job outside of game play situations but he hasn't got much to offer during the games.

Where are the trap choices? Such as 0 and "all of them?"

I can't believe so many chose all games and I don't even like Mchale. C'mon, the first Clippers game we had no chance.

blame it on personnel and execution, not coaching.

This is false, and I coach AAU ball.

In-game adjustments and the ability to see mismatches are crucial if you're playing to win.

Basketball is very mental. Attention to detail and contrasts make it easier to defeat your opponent.

Agreed. Basketball is not like the 100m dash, every single point counts and eventually add up. A good coach knows and understands all players, including the opponents, and devise plays or strategies accordingly. They do not always translate once players step in the court, but as stated every point counts.

Just to play devil's advocate, I have to say some of those losses were also due to the opposing team making ridiculous shots.

It kinda feels like every ridiculous shot they put up goes in. Even if uncontested they shouldn't be shooting it at the clip they have been shooting it. James Anderson for example. I don't think he would shoot so well even in practice with no one to guard him.

I hope and pray it evens out over the season, i.e. the last minute three point shot going in will be from Houston.

So do you agree that any coach whose team loses is responsible for the loss? Why do so many Lin fans think that the Rockets are capable of winning more games than any team ever?

I think the coaches on some of the opposing teams made some good adjustments and/or plays, and our coaching staff was unable to answer and seemed predictably lazy and/or overwhelmed.
