I didn't think he would be this good. Even after the playoffs last year, I thought he was getting overrated.

I was dead wrong. Paul George has been amazing. He and Kevin Love are battling for the 4th best player in the NBA IMO.

PG has been terrific, his all around game is one of the best in the league plus he has the benefit of a solid supporting cast and a talented coach. Their team should serve as a blue print for other aspiring franchises.

I think I would probably take Paul George over KD right now. Paul George has some swagger to him, KD is just a nice guy.

The only thing is that PG is still a volume scorer (somewhat), and KD is like a modern day Bernard King, but I don't think KD has the same will to win as George has.

Say what? Does Tim Duncan have swagger? Does TP? You can't judge a guy's willingness to win by his "swagger?" KD is ultra competitive as hell, and he has already accomplished so much at his age in terms of "winning." (Finals appearance, deep playoff runs). And he gets better every year.

George finally gets onto the scene this year, but KD has done this for years.

    Durant - 30, 7, 5 on 45% (that's bad for KD)

    George - 24, 7, 3 on 46%.

KD will shoot better as the season goes on with WB back.

    Top 5 players right now:
    1) Lebron

    2) Durant

    3) CP3
    4) Love
    5) George

Westbrook will get into the conversation as he gets healthier, and he is.

And Derrick Rose? And IRving? huge disappointments so far.

I wouldn't argue that list or your opinion about it (it's a good top 5), but every time I look at Paul George, I see another Scottie Pippen, is all. I just think George is a beast.

Sadly, i would take George over Harden 10 times out of 10. Seems to be more clutch and is 1000x better at defense.

He's still a small forward. Not a shooting guard... And with Stevenson improving I doubt they even want Granger back. Last year I was dumb enough to say Parsons was right behind him. And numbers wise he was, but he's no where close. The Rockets could really use a small forward with his defensive ability. People around here worship Parsons but his defense is straight garbage. TJ is even better guarding on the perimeter than he is and that's pathetic. I'm fina jump on NBA2k and trade Parsons for George right now...

Who hasn't had a good game against NY... Lol... He took 26 shots to score 36 points and it took an overtime period to do it. And the funny thing is that GREAT DEFENDER Shumpert fouled him on the 3... But going 2-9 and scoring 7 points in a winner takes all game against LeBron is still etched in my head... Probably his too...

I still think he's a great young player tho...

i dont hold that against him. truth of the matter is what player wouldn't struggle against Lebron. It doesn't matter if it was NY or not. He still took the game over when it matters and those are the type of players that become superstars and not just all stars

I have my doubts about Paul George just yet. He has been having a field day on beating the garbage of the league (Eastern Conference) and the only Western Conference teams the Pacers have played were Memphis and New Orleans, two teams who are not very good so far. December will get a lot harder for them because they play more top western conference teams and also Miami twice. They have had a very easy schedule so far.

so pretty much your saying the only games that really matter to see if PG is legit are playing against few legit contenders in the league and every other team is garbage. You might as well call the rockets garbage then cause they lost to some garbage teams

Besides the Heat and Bulls, no other team is above .500 so its easy for a team to look great in the Eastern conference. Paul George is a very talented player but lets see what him and his team does against the top teams in the league, especially when they play Western Conference teams. The Pacers already lost bad to the Bulls, one of the top record-wise teams of the East.

I think PG is the truth, and a complete player. +1 to whoever said they'd take him over Harden 10x out of 10.

And Durant will retire as much better than Pippen.

OK, so whoever made an anonymous mean comment on my profile at the end of last season accusing me of being a LOF having no loyalty to the Rockets because I chose PG over Harden owes me an apology. Thanks for the rep point anyway.
